Under the skin,
We begin to explore what is underneath the skin,
A meditation within the space of the body,
At the first layer of the body,
Hearing the sounds outside,
Bringing awareness to the body just as it is,
Softening into the body,
Resting.
How does the body feel right now,
In this moment?
What is it that you notice,
Bringing the attention down to the feet,
Bringing the attention up to the hands,
Feet,
Hands,
Belly,
Head?
How is the breath as it comes in,
Expanding the breath into the belly on the inhalation,
And the gentle squeezing of the breath out on the exhalation,
Movement of the core of the body,
Of the belly,
Body breathing itself,
Bringing the attention to the place just underneath the skin,
Noticing where your attention goes to.
Does it go to many different places in the body under the skin,
Or maybe one general area?
Maybe the attention moves around to a few places,
Allowing this process to happen for a moment,
Saying thank you to this natural boundary between your inner world and your outer world.
The skin is the largest organ of the body,
This natural protective barrier,
Letting in nutrients and letting out unneeded waste.
Breathing in the prana,
The nutrients,
The life force into the body,
And breathing out gently.
Every breathing itself,
Inhalation throughout the skin of the whole body,
And exhalation,
The whole body releasing,
Letting go of what's not needed.
Inhalation,
Breathing in the prana,
Oxygenating the cells,
Nourishing the entire body,
And exhalation,
Saying thank you to oneself.
