Welcome to your practice.
Find your way into a comfortable seat.
Place the hands at the knees and allow the eyes to fall shut.
In the present moment,
There is no need for concern with the past or with the future.
In fact,
Through this presence,
We can actually more appropriately engage with the future instead of incessantly worrying about it or trying to guard against some sort of perceived threat or fear of what's to come.
Unfortunately,
Many of us operate in a survival mode and there is no way to manifest from this place.
It is only through this doorway to presence that we can remember who we are and what we're truly made of.
And with that in mind,
Give yourself permission to sit in this space,
Letting go of concerns and allowing yourself to acclimate to this awareness,
To this space inside of you.
Take a deep breath in,
Relaxing the shoulders on your exhale,
Softening the jaw,
Softening the corners of your eyes and letting any tension that you may have carried into the space dissolve.
And as you sit here and breathe,
Maybe realizing a greater awareness,
A greater presence without having to do anything.
Let's explore this.
Consider this right now.
You are awake.
Right now,
You are here.
We don't even have to think about the answer.
It's a yes.
And it stems from an undeniable awareness that you are here.
This awareness here is present.
You don't have to create it,
Look for it,
Sustain it.
Being aware and here is completely effortless.
Take a few moments to just notice this.
This awareness need not be sought out,
Searched for,
Created.
It's happening.
You are aware.
You are already aware.
Being present is another phrase that we hear.
There are moments that we feel present and there are moments that we are not present.
Presence requires,
Again,
No effort or work to achieve.
Presence is what's already here.
Presence cannot go away.
It is always on.
It doesn't require any work or practice to realize it.
Notice that simple presence is whatever is being experienced right now.
So what is a part of your presence in this moment?
Is there a thought?
A sensation?
Regardless of how it may be appearing,
It's always here.
It's always changing but it never disappears.
No matter how it's appearing or feeling to you,
It is present.
Close into that presence that never goes away.
A presence that is effortlessly showing up as each and every instant of your life.
We can trust this presence is always with us even if it is experienced differently in each instant.
It is always present.
Relax into this ever present presence now.
This presence that you can never remove.
It appears in each and every moment in your life.
The magic behind getting into this moment is it is a doorway to manifesting.
By stepping into presence you enter into a field of possibility.
By stepping into presence you realize that you are infinite.
You are timeless.
You are a spark of the divine.
You come from somewhere else.
And this is the truth we are practicing remembering by becoming present.
And even if we remember this one fraction of a minute every other day,
It still counts.
You are not some finished product occasionally in need of a tiny tweaking.
You are a spirit in a body who often needs help remembering the spirit part and then allowing it to influence your human experience.
Love is where you came from and love is who you are.
Most of us do really well remembering who we are when things are going well.
When the sun is shining and the things we like are happening.
In those moments it's very easy to be at peace in our hearts.
Very easy to remember that we are part of something more.
But still our human experience gets in our way a lot.
And by sitting down and becoming present again even for just a fraction of a moment every other day,
You will begin to remember who you are and what you're a part of.
This is the beginning of recognizing the power that you have in directing your life.
In being an active participant in this life.
In each of these meditations I will preserve the last minute for active visualization.
I want you to imagine yourself right now.
Balanced,
Calm,
Happy,
Grateful and content.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And rather than just seeing the images in your mind,
Make an effort to mentally transport yourself to this calm setting and engage as many of your senses as you can.
Realize yourself calm,
Peaceful,
Relaxed,
Happy,
Grateful,
Content.
What does it look like?
What is the expression of your face?
What does it feel like in your body,
In your heart,
In your muscles,
In your vibration?
Realize yourself calm,
Relaxed,
Peaceful,
Content,
Happy,
Grateful.
And in our final words for this meditation and all that will come for this series,
Bring your palms together in front of your heart.
Take a soft bow into your heart space and repeat after me,
I step back and let the universe lead the way.
Namaste.
