Welcome to this guided meditation which will help you heal,
Nourish and support your root chakra.
If you're not familiar with the chakra system,
No worries.
If you also don't like the word chakra,
You can represent,
You can imagine the first chakra as a wheel of energy that would be connected to your spine and especially to the base of your spine.
And the first chakra,
Muladhara,
Governs also the legs and the feet.
And very simply,
The root chakra connects to the lower body because it is what is closest to the earth.
And the root chakra represents the earth element.
It represents earth's energy,
Our roots,
Our needs,
But also our sense of self.
Muladhara,
The first chakra,
Represents the support system for all the other chakras and it's all about supporting,
Connecting and grounding our energy.
So if you feel like you have trouble sitting still,
Maybe you have trouble expressing yourself,
Being yourself or just finding your place in the world.
If you're feeling restless,
If you have anxiety,
The first chakra,
The root chakra,
Will help you feel grounded and just allow yourself to be as you are.
And it's very important for ourselves to find our ground because when we feel grounded,
When we feel safe and comfortable in our skin,
In our own body,
We can feel comfortable in the world.
So wherever you are,
Maybe you are sitting down,
Maybe you're laying down,
Maybe you're even standing,
Why not?
And you can really practice this meditation wherever you are and it's going to be all about grounding yourself,
All about bringing a sense of safety through your breath and through your body.
Just start by bringing a gentle open awareness to your breath and just feel your breath.
Maybe you can feel the belly rise,
Maybe you can feel the chest expand,
Maybe you can feel the air coming in and out of your nostrils.
Just taking a full breath in and taking a full breath out.
Taking another full breath in and a full breath out.
And staying here,
Maybe you want to close your eyes and since our root chakra is related to our senses,
We're going to ground ourselves through our senses.
So you can start by feeling the texture of your clothes,
Maybe you can also feel the temperature of the air,
Maybe there's a specific taste in your mouth,
Maybe you can hear sounds around you,
Maybe you can hear the sound of my voice.
Just being very aware of all the sensations you can feel here and now.
And take a full breath in and take a full breath out.
Now as you take your next inhale,
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine where the root chakra is located.
Just taking a nice breath in visualizing and feeling maybe the base of your spine.
Now as you exhale,
Exhale as you visualize the base of your spine.
On your next inhale,
Visualize the base of your spine.
Now as you exhale,
Let the exhale move down from the base of your spine down to your legs and down to the sole of your feet.
Take another nice breath here,
Inhale from the base of your spine and exhale down to your legs,
Down to the sole of your feet.
Take another nice breath in visualizing the base of your spine and exhaling down to the sole of your feet.
Now if you wish,
You can visualize your breath and maybe you can give your breath a warm color like the color red.
And on your next breath,
Visualize the base of your spine,
Letting the belly fill up with air,
Maybe visualizing your breath as a red energy.
And as you exhale into the base of your spine,
Feeling this red energy.
Now allowing your breath to become this red,
Warm,
Soothing energy.
Taking a full breath in and maybe you can feel the breath,
The red,
Warm breath expanding in your chest.
And as you exhale,
Allowing the breath,
This red,
Warm,
Soothing breath to go down into the base of your spine.
And from the base of your spine,
Allowing this warm,
Soothing red colored breath,
Go down,
Down into your legs and down to the sole of your feet.
One more time,
Take a nice breath in,
Feeling this soothing red colored warm breath into your chest.
And as you exhale,
Letting the breath travel down to your legs and down to the sole of your feet.
Starting from your chest,
Letting the chest expand,
Feeling this warm,
Red,
Soothing breath.
And letting the breath expand down into your arms,
Down to the tip of your fingers.
Taking a nice breath in.
Now as you exhale,
Letting this red,
Warm,
Soothing breath expand into your head,
Back of your head and up towards the top of your head.
And exhale by exhale.
You can let this warm,
Red energy spread to your whole body.
And exhale by exhale.
You may feel or start to feel your body surrounded by a protective bubble.
A bubble that would wrap your whole body into this red,
Warm,
Safe energy.
And exhale by exhale,
Allowing the body to rest.
Allowing the body to rest in this red,
Safe,
Nurturing bubble.
And if you wish,
You can repeat the sentence,
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I have enough.
I have enough.
I am enough.
I am enough.
Taking a deep breath in and taking a full breath out.
Allowing yourself to live the rest of your day feeling safe.
Feeling home and feeling at peace with yourself.
And allowing abundance to come to you.
