Welcome to this Feel More Resilient and Hopeful meditation practice.
I really wanted to share this because I find it so helpful when I'm feeling a little bit low in energy,
Depleted and maybe a little flat.
I find that this practice helps fill me up with an energy and brightness and a sense that everything will be okay.
It doesn't fix all my worries in an instant,
But it does help to take me out of a negative spiral and bring me greater feelings of grounding,
Strength and power.
And I really hope that it can do the same for you too.
I'm really happy that I get to share this practice with you today.
So when you're ready,
Just making sure you're comfortable,
Either sitting on your chair or lying down,
If that's better for you.
And when you're ready,
Just gently closing the eyes down,
Or if it's more comfortable for you,
Just lowering the gaze to the floor and just taking a few grounding breaths.
So breathing in and breathing out.
And again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
One more time,
Breathing in and breathing all the way out.
And coming into your body on this chair,
This bed,
Feet connected to the ground.
Be on chair,
Feet on the ground,
Or if you're lying down,
Just enjoying that sense of sinking into the bed.
Really just coming into your body,
Into this moment,
Allowing everything to settle.
And really allowing yourself now to go inwards and to take the temperature of your mind.
Just noticing how the mind's doing right now.
There's no right and no wrong.
So rather than judging the mind or wanting it to be different,
Seeing if you can bring a gentle acceptance to whatever's here for you as you come into practice.
Seeing if you can create some space around the thoughts,
A gentle presence,
A soft awareness.
And if difficult feelings are coming up,
Knowing that you've come to the right place,
You've come into practice to find a greater sense of peace and presence.
So just settling into this gentle awareness of mind,
Really allowing what's here to be here.
And as you sit with these perhaps difficult feelings,
Maybe feelings of flatness or worry or anything at all that's uncomfortable for you,
Knowing that through your practice,
We can bring you a greater feeling of grounding and strength and a sense that you can cope with anything that comes your way.
So starting to bring your attention to the top of your head and imagining a bright light above your head,
Floating just above the crown of your head.
Imagining a ball of bright light.
And imagining this light like a beam shining down on you.
Allowing yourself to bask in these bright beams of light above your head.
And imagining these beams of light moving into your brow,
Moving into your head and the busyness of your mind.
And imagining the space around your thoughts filling up with brightness and energy.
This bright light shining down,
Moving through the crown of your head,
Filling your head with bright white light.
Perhaps tilting the chin up as if you're basking in sunlight.
Imagining that feeling on a warm sunny day.
Moving into that feeling of warm sunlight bathing you.
And allowing this feeling of energy and light to move down your body,
Moving into the neck.
And now into the shoulders.
Imagining this bright golden light filling the shoulders from the inside out,
Pulsing with energy and vitality.
Left shoulder and right shoulder.
Moving this energy down the arms now,
Imagining each arm being filled with golden light.
Left arm and right arm.
Moving this brightness all the way into the hands now.
Imagining the hands pulsing with life force,
With energy,
With brightness.
Bringing all your attention to the hands and to the brightness of this light and energy within the hands.
Moving this light down into the belly now,
This golden bright light.
Imagining it filling you,
Filling the belly.
Allowing it now to fill the area of the back,
All the way from the shoulders down to the lower back,
Brightness and golden energy.
Filling you up with light and possibility.
Imagining this golden energy all the way down the legs now.
Allowing it to fill the legs with strength and energy.
And now seeing that light filling the feet from the inside out,
Bright golden energy filling each foot,
Bringing a new light into your day.
Left foot and right foot.
And now allowing this light to fill your entire body from head to toe.
Your body pulsing with a brightness and newfound energy.
A sense that you are powerful and strong and that anything is possible.
And if it feels comfortable perhaps bringing a gentle smile to the mouth.
Eyes smiling,
Mouth smiling and heart smiling.
Smiling into this new day,
Your body filled with light and energy and possibility.
And as we come towards the end of this practice,
Just taking a moment to notice how your body is feeling.
Noticing what's changed and taking a moment to thank yourself for taking this precious time to go inwards and change the whole trajectory of your day through simple awareness and presence.
