Hi,

And welcome to the Mind Management Energy Boost Meditation.

There are many ways we're depleted of energy in a given day.

When we feel drained,

It can be difficult to concentrate and hard to get or keep perspective.

This meditation is a mental break designed to re-energize and refocus your mind and your body so you can take back control of your day.

Start by sitting comfortably.

Take a moment to plant your feet firmly on the floor.

Place your hands in your lap.

Relax your shoulders and your jaw.

Now close your eyes.

When we're feeling drained of energy,

It's easy to slip into a tired or a negative way of thinking.

For the next few minutes,

See if you can sit a bit taller and simply focus on my cues and what is actually happening right now.

Let's take three deep breaths.

On your inhale,

Focus on your breath as it comes in through your nose and down into your lungs.

And on your exhale,

Feel your breath come back out again,

Letting go of your breath completely.

Now simply continue to focus on your breathing,

Letting your breath come in through your nose and out through your nose or mouth,

Whichever feels most comfortable.

If your mind starts to wander or you become distracted by thoughts or sounds,

Redirect your attention back to your breathing.

Now let's do a physical check-in.

How does your body feel?

Are you holding tightness anywhere?

From your head,

Down through your torso,

Your arms and hands,

Down your legs to your feet,

Check in with your body.

If you find an area of your body that feels tight or tense,

Can you relax it a bit?

Think about using your breathing to help you with this.

On each exhale,

See if you can relax an area of your body that feels tight or that you feel is more tense than usual.

Breathing onto tension requires a huge amount of energy.

When we can let go of unnecessary tension,

We free up that energy and we can direct it to where it's most needed in our day.

Now bring your attention back to your breathing once more.

As you inhale,

You're bringing fresh power and energy into your body.

As you exhale,

You're releasing any remaining mental or physical tension.

Take five more breaths and let your focus go.

Start to bring your attention back into the room.

You can stretch in any way that feels good.

Take a few moments to sit tall and feel the physical and mental energy and focus you can now use for the rest of your day.

Slowly open your eyes.

Thanks for meditating with us.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
