When we learn to rest fully and put down the burden of the imaginary past and future (where all our worries are), we become more able to do what must be done when the time comes. Mindfulness practice is a uniquely appropriate tool for this purpose, enabling us to put our attention on what's happening right now, whenever we remember and come out of anxiety.
