488: Are Your Angels And Guides Trying To Reach You?

Today, I’m diving into a topic that has touched so many of you and continues to show up in my own life in the most surprising, beautiful ways. We’re exploring the signs, synchronicities, and gentle nudges from the universe that remind us we’re never walking this path alone. From repeating numbers to feathers, birds, coins, and even unexpected phrases from strangers, signs are everywhere when we slow down enough to notice them.

Whether you’ve been seeing 11:11 on the clock, finding pennies in random places, or simply sensing that something bigger is guiding you, this episode will help you understand how your angels, guides, and loved ones communicate with you and how to trust the messages already showing up around you.

Welcome to the Michelle Chalfant show and happy holidays,

Everybody.

Can you believe it?

We are in December.

Boy,

This year has flown by.

I'm really looking forward to talking with you all about something that continues to come up for so many of us.

These are signs.

These are signs from beyond.

I know if you're listening to the show or someone that is probably seeing,

For example,

The numbers on the clock that say,

Oh my gosh,

It's 111,

It's 333,

It's 444.

Like,

What does all that mean?

And what does this mean?

Let's talk about that because this has come up in conversations so much recently with people.

And I'm curious about what you might think that is.

Like,

Do you realize that perhaps there's something much bigger than us that might be communicating with us?

Are you open to that?

Are you paying attention to how often these signs are showing up for you?

Are you even paying attention to all the signs?

Because I'm going to say this,

The more you pay attention and you don't think of something as being coincidental,

Like,

Oh,

That's weird that that happened or I saw that person or I was thinking about that person they called me or every single time I looked at the clock today,

It was triple digits,

Quadruple,

All the same numbers.

Like,

That's coincidental,

Huh?

When you pay attention to the timing of the signs,

You're going to start noticing there is divine order.

There is a divine intelligence orchestrating all of it for you.

And the question is,

Are you paying attention?

And the other question is,

Are you noticing that maybe that divine intelligence is giving you the answers to your questions through some of these signs?

But if not,

If you're not getting the answer,

At least are you realizing that you might be very much loved and protected and guided along your life journey by paying attention to the signs?

I've learned something over my lifetime,

Which has been a very long life.

It is this,

There are no coincidences.

I have stopped even,

I want to remove that word because from the dictionary,

I do not believe that anything is random.

And I'm telling you,

The more you pay attention to signs and what's going on around you,

I think you might start also believing the same thing.

So for several years,

I'm talking 20 some years,

I started noticing like,

Gosh,

Every time I looked at the clock,

It's 1111.

That's weird.

Why is it saying that?

Only 1111.

And then I'd notice other things like 222111333.

And then I've noticed over the last few years,

Like everyone I'm talking to is saying the same thing.

We'll be on a phone call or we'll I'll be on zoom with someone and they're like,

Oh my gosh,

It's 222.

How cool am I?

But do you know what that do you know what that means?

Because there's actually meaning behind all of this.

And I'm gonna think about the direction I'm going here because there's so much we can talk about.

So I guess today's show is more about helping to really broaden your perspective around the fact that we're not here all alone,

That you really are connected to something bigger,

That everything happens for you,

That you are being guided.

I feel like we're all on what I call the illuminated path.

Every single human has an illuminated path.

And what that means is we're on a life path.

And on the illuminated path,

It doesn't mean we need to know what's coming down the road a year from now,

Even a week from now.

But on the illuminated path,

When we ask ourselves,

Should I do this?

Should I do that?

Should I take this job?

Should I move?

Should I date this person and this relationship,

Whatever it might be?

I always have the same response,

Which is how does it feel inside?

How does it feel in your heart space,

In order to make that decision?

Because what happens on the illuminated path is that then very,

If you think about walking on this lovely stone path down your life path,

All we need to think about is the very next stone that lights up in front of us.

We don't need to know what's happening 10 stones down.

But this beautiful thing about this beautiful stone in front of you,

This flat,

Beautiful stone,

It will light up when it's time for you to take that next step.

It really does.

And what happens oftentimes is we'll have this idea to do something,

But we're not sure when we take action.

So what we want to do is to get the idea,

The idea will come downloading through us.

And then when we take,

We'll know when to take action,

Because it'll feel right.

For example,

I want to talk about this whole podcast.

So the Adult Share podcast was around for 10,

11 years.

And I knew I started having all these thoughts in my meditations on my walks,

Like it's time to change the name.

It's just sort of time for a refresh.

Right.

And I knew it mentally.

I was like,

Oh,

I guess I'm going to change the name of the podcast.

And people would people would say to me,

Oh,

What are you gonna call it?

I go,

I don't know.

It's coming.

I'm waiting for it to show up.

That's the illuminated path.

We may know things,

But we don't take that next step forward and pull the trigger until we actually have the feeling.

So then finally,

After months of knowing,

Like,

I think I'm going to change the name of the show.

I had this feeling.

And that was when I took that next step forward.

And the next step forward was,

I'm going to change it to the Michelle Chalfant show life from the Adult Share.

It just felt like it was a refresh.

And it's it's sort of a sign.

You know,

I think about signs,

I think about when I was making that decision,

I was really contemplating like,

Okay,

Show me that this is the right thing for me to do show me that this is exactly what I need to be doing.

And when that's when I started,

That's when I would start to see 222-333-444-555.

I'd ask the question,

And then the signs would come.

I asked the question,

I would really sit in contemplation around this at times like,

Okay,

Is this the day?

Is this the month?

Is this the week?

And sometimes I would get nothing.

And then finally,

Again,

I started getting all the signs.

I was like,

Oh,

I guess it's time.

I remember I was sitting in my family room.

And I look out,

I looked out the window at my deck,

And this most glorious hawk showed up and landed right on my balcony and was staring in at me.

And I was like,

Oh,

How random.

Okay,

Well,

Perhaps this is the time.

And that's when I started feeling it's time now.

And this is the new name.

So again,

The point is,

We all have an illuminated path.

Number one,

How do you know when to take that next step forward?

You're going to feel it.

And it's one step.

So many of us because we have an ego and the ego wants to know what's coming like a year or two or 10 years down the line,

Like what's coming?

It's like,

We don't need to know.

We need to know what's the very next step and trust.

That's a big,

Big word,

Trust that your divine plan,

Your path,

This illuminated path is fully being orchestrated just for you.

Just for you.

It's really beautiful.

And we get scared sometimes we think,

Are you sure?

Am I late?

Shouldn't this have happened before?

You know,

I'm not so sure about this.

It's like,

No,

You're really right on time.

And the more we can bring ourselves back to trust around this illuminated path,

Knowing that the signs are going to guide us on that path.

Boy,

When you can trust that your whole life will begin to change.

You're able then to sit in presence more than ever before.

You'll worry starts to fade,

Stress starts to fade.

And you will feel this.

And this is my experience.

But I've talked to several people and they're like,

Yes,

This as if there's this force behind us or around us.

That is very gently guiding us.

It's like very,

Very gentle.

I don't know for those of you that are have ever sailed like a sailboat.

I remember I grew up on sailboats.

And it was like,

Sometimes there was no wind.

It was very gentle breeze.

You just slowly turn to the left or the right,

You know,

Same thing.

Like if I'm in my kayak or canoeing or whatever,

Just imagine this very slow moving left to right.

How do you know when to do that?

Again,

It's this feeling that comes over you.

But also it's this almost this force.

And I don't mean a big giant force of wind or anything like that.

But it is this gentle force that you realize it's wrapping you in love.

And it's got you.

Even when we're walking through what feels like the absolute worst things in our lives.

Horrible things.

There's something for us to learn.

There's something for us to grow through when things like this happen.

It could be a death,

It could be a divorce,

It could be something,

You know,

Awful.

And I've talked to so many people that have had horrible experiences in their lives.

And later on,

At some point down the line,

Most people come out of that saying,

And it could be years down the line,

But say,

Wow,

I do see that I learned so much.

And now I wouldn't trade that thing.

And that's a hard one for people.

I fully,

Fully get it.

I've had some very hard things in my own life.

But when we realize that there's some sort of force that's with us at all times,

That's guiding us,

Again,

Call it God,

Call it source,

Call it divine intelligence,

Call it whatever you want to call it.

It's there wrapping itself around and through us because the ultimate,

The truth of it all is that we are a fragment of that very thing.

There is no separation between us and that thing.

But we forget because of the ego as part of our life experience that we are separate from that thing,

But we're not.

And that's what I realized we're all waking up to.

So when we,

We consider the illuminated path that we're on,

That we're really guided by this beautiful,

Beautiful intelligence,

This divine,

Loving,

Unconditional,

Loving intelligence,

When we remember that that's what's wrapping itself around us through us,

And that's what we actually are.

And then we start paying attention to the signs around us that are guiding us every single step of our path,

Our whole lives,

If we're willing to look,

We start paying attention,

Then we realize we're just not alone.

And life becomes easier.

And the thing is,

Is that we do feel I know my I have talked to thousands of people there.

I don't know of anyone that hasn't felt alone at times in their lives.

So and I've been there too.

But when I start paying attention to the signs and remembering,

Wait,

I'm on this illuminated path,

Something has me something's experiencing life through me.

Okay,

Let me take a breath and remember,

These are the signs.

These are the signs that I'm paying attention to that are guiding me.

So for me,

I had a beautiful story.

I'm going to give you a really fun sign.

And I'm going to teach you give you a way to to get your own customized sign.

So I've got two stories,

Actually,

As I think about this right now.

So I remember we had just moved to Nashville.

And my father had died.

And this is 20 some years ago,

And we had just moved to Nashville.

And I was I had gone into my bathroom to go take a shower.

And I took off my earrings and everything and put it put them down on my sink next to my sink area.

And I jumped in the shower.

And then I came out and I started getting ready.

And I looked down and I said,

Where'd that come from?

That's so weird.

There's a penny next to the earrings that I took off.

I don't remember that penny being there.

That's really weird.

Huh?

Interesting.

So then I get ready and I do you know,

My things and I'm,

I have a puppy at the time.

So I grabbed my puppy.

And I said,

Okay,

I need to take her outside.

And in Nashville,

We had those aggregate driveways,

Which means they're like these copper colored driveways with all these little beautiful stones in them.

They're not like a blacktop driveway.

It's the copper and stone basically,

But copper colored stones.

And so the whole driveway looks that color.

So anyway,

So I take my little puppy outside,

I put her down on the driveway.

And the various and we had a very big driveway,

We had a three car garage in that house with this big driveway in this whole area.

And the very spot that I put this little two pound puppy down.

I looked down where I'm dropping her on the driveway.

And there's a penny.

And I said,

That is so weird,

Because I just found a penny in my bathroom that was very random.

And I picked up that penny.

And I looked up at the sky.

And I said,

This is so random.

It's like pennies are falling from heaven.

Huh?

That's weird.

And right when I said that,

This,

It was like a downloaded voice said,

Pennies from heaven.

And it was like the song pennies from heaven.

And I went,

Oh,

My dad,

You know,

We had a grand piano in our house growing up.

He was a phenomenal pianist.

And he used to play that song all the time.

And so this is a within about a year or so after my father had passed.

And I said,

This is a this is a sign from dad.

This is so cool.

And after that day,

When I tell you I didn't find piles of change or quarters or nickels,

I found one penny in the most random spots.

And then I realized after two or three days of this,

I said,

I think this is dad trying to get our attention.

And on a side note,

My sister and I were doing a lot for my dad's brothers that were still alive,

There's a lot of family stuff going on.

And my sister and I were trying to deal with all of it.

It was a mess,

To be honest with you.

And it was so weird,

Because I kept seeing these one pennies,

I remember actually going to the gas station.

And I was like,

Pumping my gas.

And I look down again at the ground,

There's one penny,

And then I'm over here,

There's one penny,

I go to the grocery store.

I remember,

I was checking out and I looked over the girls at the cash register,

And she had one penny sitting on top of the cash register.

I said,

What is going on?

This is random.

This is so crazy.

So I call my sister.

And I said,

You're not going to believe this.

I really think dad's trying to get in touch with us.

We were dealing with a lot of stuff like will stuff and money stuff like all about it was it was yucky stuff.

Like it was like not fun stuff to do to deal with.

And,

And my sister said,

I can't believe you're saying that.

I am too.

What?

And she goes,

I keep finding one penny for like the last week.

I said,

That's how long it's been happening with me.

That's so crazy.

So after that,

Now we know whenever my dad is around or needs our attention,

Or if we're praying and saying,

I need you,

Dad,

You got to help me here,

We will start seeing one penny in the most random places.

And I mean,

I could go on and on and on with stories.

But I want you all to know this,

Especially during the holidays,

But really year round,

Like it can be really difficult during the holidays,

Because we do miss our loved ones.

Are you paying attention to the signs?

Don't it's nothing's random or coincidental.

You know,

These are beloved beings are with us.

And they're they are trying always to get our attention if of course we need them.

And we're calling out to them and,

And they're trying to get our attention for whatever reason.

So pay attention,

Pay attention.

And to this day,

All these years later,

I'll go for months and months without seeing a penny at all.

And then all of a sudden,

I'll start seeing one penny,

One penny,

One penny,

And I'll call my sister,

I'll say,

Hey,

Are you seeing pennies?

And she'll go,

I'm just seeing one.

I started about a week ago,

I go,

Dad's around us again.

So it's really fun,

Because I just had my birthday.

And I thought,

That's really weird.

I had the thought the other day,

I haven't seen pennies in months.

And I'm starting to see pennies again.

And he must be around me for my birthday.

And now he's around me for the holidays.

The other thing that my sister and I see all the time is it's a bird,

It's called a kingfisher.

And boy,

We go again,

For a long time without seeing a kingfisher.

And lately,

Again,

The last couple weeks,

While we were seeing the pennies,

We're seeing the kingfisher again.

And he's all around us,

This kingfisher is so crazy,

Constantly making noise at us.

So I invite you all to pay attention.

And what if you were to just even for this month,

Assume that it's not random,

And it's not coincidental that you might have a beloved being a guardian angel,

Someone,

Something that is around you,

Trying to give you a message,

Or just letting you know,

Hey,

You're not alone.

So if you're lonely,

And this has happened a lot,

When I felt very lonely in my life,

That's when those pennies start showing up.

Are you paying attention?

And again,

Sometimes I'm also seeing one penny here and there.

And then the clock's 222333.

Or if I'm doing something in my company,

And I have a big decision to make,

And I'm not quite sure,

Do I take the step now or not?

I'm waiting for that illuminated path to light up in my heart to say yes.

I'll start seeing those numbers.

I go,

Oh,

Yeah,

That feels right.

You know,

Working with so many people in Nashville,

When they used to have a private practice for all those years,

People would say to me,

Oh,

I'm just praying.

You know,

I'm praying and waiting for,

You know,

I'm waiting for this.

I just I need some guidance around this.

And I'd say to people,

I'm like,

Okay,

Jesus is not going to show up at your front door.

You've had like 12 signs.

Like,

Are you?

Did you miss all the signs?

Because you're being shown the path that's this,

This and this.

Do you not see it?

They're like,

Oh,

I missed it.

I said,

Yeah,

Pay attention.

Pay attention to everything.

Another story I have is,

Um,

Gosh,

I remember,

Like,

This is before I was even married.

This is in my early 20s.

And I was asking for my great grandmother that I never had met,

But I'm named after her.

My middle name is Rose.

And her name was Rose.

And I have a special bond with her simply because that she's,

You know,

I have the same name.

And I was trying to make a decision actually about moving from Rochester down to Richmond.

This is back in gosh,

Early 1990s.

And I was not sure what to do.

And I said to her,

Okay,

Everyone called her Mother Rose.

I said,

I need some help.

Mother Rose,

I said,

I need you to show me a yellow rose.

So you can ask for something very,

Very specific.

I said,

And if you can show me a yellow rose in the next week,

I will move to Richmond,

Virginia,

To finish my master's degree.

And you guys,

I can't even tell you so crazy.

The girl in my office was dating this guy.

And it was her boy,

It was her birthday.

And she was sent this when I tell you,

A gigantic bouquet of flowers,

Not roses,

Flowers,

Like all kinds.

This guy was trying to impress my friend for sure.

Like gigantic bouquet of every flower you can imagine,

But no roses.

And I went through and I said,

Well,

Wouldn't that be something if there was a I thought to myself,

If there was a rose in there,

That would be that would be kind of cool.

And I looked and I said,

Well,

There are no roses.

And I said to her,

I said,

Hey,

Are there I said,

That's such a pretty bouquet is gigantic.

And she said,

Yeah,

It's so cool,

Though,

She said,

And I couldn't see it from where I was sitting,

We were like across the room,

I had my desk,

And she had hers.

And she goes,

It's so pretty,

Because there's just one rose in the middle.

And it's a pretty yellow rose.

And I was like,

Shut up.

Because it's almost like it randomly was in there.

It doesn't even make sense.

Because of all the other flowers,

There's just one yellow rose.

And I said,

I guess I'm moving to Richmond.

And she ended up moving with me.

Actually,

It was kind of funny,

Fun.

But um,

Yeah,

So I just wanted just to invite you all because again,

I'm thinking of the holidays,

It's can be a hard time.

Do we do this?

Do we do that?

I,

You know,

It's hard.

We miss people that are that have crossed over friends.

They're still with us.

They're right next to us all the time.

Pay attention,

Ask for signs.

Remember,

My mom's friend asked for a jackknife.

If her father was with her,

Or excuse me,

Yes,

Wait,

A Swiss Army knife,

Excuse me.

If her father was with her.

She said,

I want you to show me a Swiss Army knife.

And she goes,

And she just put it out there and asked for it.

She said,

She started getting these knives,

Like seeing them everywhere,

The grocery stores that someone gifted her one,

Which was such a random gift.

But she said it was like insane,

The number of Swiss Army knives she started seeing.

So,

So just ask for those signs,

They will show themselves to you.

Our beloved beings around us are always there.

They're always trying to help us and always trying to guide us.

The question is,

Are we paying attention?

And are you trusting that really,

Truly,

Life is unfolding for us every single step that we take and that we make.

Understanding that sometimes it's a really big growth opportunity.

And it feels really,

Really hard,

Really hard.

But it's a growth opportunity for us.

And so when you can remember that,

As you walk down that path,

And I gotta tell you,

We did not come in to have these easy,

Easy,

Easy,

Easy lives with no challenges.

We did not,

Our soul did not come here for that.

We came here to learn and grow.

We came here to experience ourselves in a different way.

So remember that,

Ask for signs.

Remember,

You are on your illuminated path.

How do you know when to take a next step?

It will feel right.

I had countless people over the years say,

Should I,

Should I leave my,

My husband,

My wife,

My breakup,

My relationship now?

I'm not sure.

And they're so in their heads.

And I said,

You'll know,

Because you'll feel it.

And that's when you take that next step.

You'll know,

You know,

Should I quit my job?

Should I do this?

I'm like,

You'll know,

Because you'll feel it.

You can spend all day long thinking about it.

Drop your energy below your chin,

And you'll feel it.

And then ask for signs.

Help me to know when it's the right time.

Help me to know that I'm supported.

But you got to pay attention.

You have to pay attention to what those signs are.

The other thing you can do is you can,

When you see 333,

Google it.

What do the angel numbers 333 mean?

What's 1111 mean?

What's 555 mean?

What do these numbers mean?

What does it mean when I'm seeing a ladybug?

What does it mean when there's a,

It can be any insect,

Any,

Any bird,

Anything at all.

It's there for you.

It's there for you,

If you're willing to pay attention,

And you're willing to watch,

And you're willing to listen.

And for those of you that are saying,

Oh,

I've tried that.

It doesn't work.

Doesn't work for me.

I want to ask you a few questions.

Number one,

How much time did you give it?

Give it time.

Number two,

Are you slowing yourself down enough to see the signs,

To catch the signs,

To notice the signs?

Because in our society,

We move so fast,

Right?

In our world,

I'm not going to say just the United States,

It's the world,

We are moving fast.

How much time do you spend in quiet,

On a walk without your phone,

Through the woods without your phone?

How much time do you spend alone where you're actually catching the signs?

Pay attention,

Nothing is random.

And again,

What if you were to adopt for the rest of this month,

That things that you're hearing and seeing are not random.

They're just not random.

And the more you pay attention,

I gotta tell you,

I say this,

It's kind of like an Easter egg hunt every single day.

The more you pay attention,

I actually now spend every day looking and waiting for the signs to show up.

That's how much they're showing up.

But it's not that they're showing up more for me.

It's that I've slowed down enough.

I've regulated my nervous system to see them and to catch the signs.

So when you move too fast,

You're going to miss them.

So spend some time alone.

Whether it be sitting for five or 10 minutes and just relaxing your body,

You've got to get in the moment so you can catch those signs.

Because if you're moving too fast,

And you're distracted all the time,

You got your phone and TV and computer and email and all the things,

That's fine,

Because I do the same thing.

I have a company,

I have to.

But I also make sure I insert throughout the day,

Lots of micro moments of downtime.

That might be their micro moments.

Do you hear that?

Like five minutes,

10 minutes.

I'm going to go sit by the lake.

I'm going to go every day.

I walk at least once or twice just at the end of my street and back,

Which takes me about 12 minutes round trip.

But I don't take my phone.

And I'm quiet.

And I'm looking at the birds.

I'm looking at the trees and look at the squirrels.

So I'm talking just a few minutes a day.

And if you can't walk down a street,

Can you just sit quietly,

Burn a candle,

Burn incense,

Look out the window,

Look at the birds.

You know,

It's fascinating.

I was contemplating something one day a few months ago,

And I looked out the window.

And I remember it was it was in the spring because the leaves weren't on the trees yet.

But I looked out the window and I said,

I can't figure out there's one or two ways to do this thing.

I don't even remember what the thing was.

I would share it with you.

I just can't remember what it was.

But I remember contemplating I need.

I'm trying to figure out if there's one or two ways to do this.

And I looked up and there was a tree in front front of me.

And I have a lot of trees in my yard,

But I've never seen this tree.

I swear to God,

It looked like this path.

It looked like the root,

The base of the tree came up and then there were two big limbs that came off,

Like like the letter Y basically is what the tree looked like.

And I looked up and I said,

Oh,

My God,

That's it.

There are two paths.

There are two ways to do what I'm trying to figure out.

Thank you.

And then I started and then I figured out the thing.

So pay attention.

Pay attention to words that are,

You know,

In songs that you're sort of zoning out to.

And all of a sudden you hear like a phrase in the song.

You're like,

Wait,

What?

Did I just hear that?

Was that for me?

I have a wild one.

I want to end with this one.

It's so insane.

So my sister and I were again,

We're up in Rochester doing a lot with like,

Again,

Wills,

Estate planning.

My uncle was going into a nursing home.

It was heavy stuff that we were dealing with.

And my dad was not there.

My dad had passed away.

And this is for one of his brothers.

My sister and I felt like we had to step in and help out and take care of all the things.

We were sitting outside at brunch one day.

And we were just talking.

So here's two things happened in one brunch.

It was crazy.

So we sit down to have brunch at this lovely little place in Pittsburgh,

Rikerup.

And we,

First of all,

Sat down at the table,

This little brunch table,

This little table for two.

And when we sat down underneath,

I can't remember if it was my chair or her chair,

But we looked under the chair.

There was one penny randomly.

I was like,

OK,

But that's not the best part.

And I said,

Oh,

My God,

This is crazy.

So we sit down,

We're eating lunch or brunch,

And we're chit chatting.

And then she and I got quiet for a second.

And we happen to be sitting outside at this cafe.

And there were on a sidewalk,

There were tons of people on the sidewalk walking by.

And just as this guy is,

Again,

This random guy,

I don't even know who he was,

Walks by.

He says,

Oh,

My goodness,

He said,

Jiminy Cricket.

I can't believe blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

And my sister and I dropped our forks.

And we said,

Did that guy just say Jiminy Cricket?

And my dad said that all the time.

So that's from Pinocchio.

And my dad said that.

I have never heard anyone on this planet say Jiminy Cricket,

Ever,

Except for Geppetto,

Right?

It's like,

Wait,

What?

Wow.

So my sister and I were like,

Okay,

We just saw Penny.

And then we heard that.

So again,

Pay attention.

There are signs everywhere.

If you're willing to slow down and catch them,

And you'll realize you're not alone.

You're never alone.

So ask for something.

I want to leave you all this.

Ask for something.

Because your beloved beings and angels and guides are all around you.

They're wanting to help.

But they will not interfere in your life.

So you have to ask for help.
