Close your eyes and let us set an intention.
It is time for me to regain my inner strength,
To remember who I am,
And to own my space.
I intend to learn now how to teach others how I want to be treated.
I intend now to learn how to set boundaries.
Take a deep breath in and out.
We begin to slow down and slide into the moment.
In this moment,
We recall the definition of a boundary.
A boundary simply teaches others how we want to be treated.
It's simple,
Yet we lack training on how to do this.
Today we learn.
Breathing deeply,
Slowing down even more.
To set a boundary,
We must regain our sense of self.
Do I have a clear idea of who I am,
Where I am in relation to others?
Am I merged with others or do I stand alone?
How do I take care of myself?
We must begin to realize these things and where our space is.
What's okay and not okay with me?
Do I put others' needs and desires before mine?
Taking a deep breath in and out.
Clearing the mind,
Listen to these statements about yourself and allow the truth of them to resonate with your being at the deepest level.
I matter.
I'm willing to take up space.
I have limits and I express them.
I am aware of my personal space and know when it's being violated in any way.
I am willing to take care of myself.
I have wants and desires and am learning what they are.
I will let others know what I am feeling and what I need.
I am worthy of setting boundaries and speaking up for myself.
Any old programming that negates this is now being rewritten.
I am worthy of and deserve to be treated with respect,
Kindness,
And love and will let others know when I am not for this is the greatest act of self-love and I love myself.
I understand that this is a learning process and I will be easy on myself and will not give up on myself.
I am worth it.
Now take some nice slow deep breaths and allow these statements to settle into your being where they will penetrate over time into the deepest parts of your mind and become your new truth,
Your new empowered programming.
Take some deep breaths now.
Now see yourself standing outside with your feet directly on the ground.
Allow your gaze to travel deep inside the earth and notice a beautiful ball of light resting in the core of the earth.
It's brilliant,
Stable,
And a grounding light.
As you see yourself standing on the earth,
Notice this light begin to travel upward toward you like a root system of a tree up toward your feet.
This light wants to connect with your being and is drawn to you,
Drawn to the bottoms of your feet.
It feels magnetic.
See the light traveling now.
As the light travels and connects to your feet,
Tune into the bottoms of your feet.
You may notice a sense of heat,
Cool,
Tingling,
Or another sensation,
Or perhaps nothing at all.
All is fine.
You are getting this right no matter what your experience may be.
With a deep breath,
Welcome this light through your feet.
Feel it rise up through your feet and up your legs.
Feel this grounding energy come up through you,
Filling in your hip area,
Your torso,
Chest,
Moving down your arms,
Filling in your hands.
Back up your arms through your neck and out the top of your head.
Breathing deeply now.
Notice how you feel with this light having traveled up through your being.
Perhaps you feel solid,
More in your body,
Grounded,
Maybe heavier,
More present.
Notice your experience now.
Tune into your body.
Notice the light in your body begin to expand outside of you and fill up the space around you.
It looks like a bubble of light all around you,
Extending about two feet from your body.
See this happening now.
Feel the radiance of your light in you and around you.
On the outside of this bubble of light,
See a thin crystalline or crushed diamond structure filling in the outside of this bubble.
This represents your boundary to your personal space.
Anything inside of this structure is your space.
Breathe it in now.
This represents all of you.
Own it.
This is where your emotions,
Thoughts,
And physical structure exist.
It all belongs to you.
Claim it.
Feel the energy of the earth pull you to the surface of the earth.
This energy will help you to know when someone is in your space or violating your space,
Your emotions,
Or yourself in any way.
Breathe in this energy,
This knowing.
Feel it penetrate every part of your being.
With this energy comes your power,
Your voice,
Your ability and confidence to speak up for yourself.
When something feels off or not quite right,
You will now notice.
When someone has said or done something to you that feels not right,
You will then pause and express yourself in a respectful way of how it makes you feel.
Keeping to the facts,
Remembering a boundary is not emotional.
State your feeling or your emotion and your needs and move on.
For example,
I felt hurt when you said that.
Please don't do that again.
Take a deep breath and give yourself a moment to let this penetrate deep inside of you.
Feel your power.
Feel your ability to speak up.
Notice what else comes up for you with the idea of speaking up for yourself.
What emotions are coming up?
Maybe you have fear,
Anger,
Maybe joy or empowerment.
Maybe it's something else.
Whatever is coming up,
Let it rise up and flow through you.
Breathe these emotions in and let them come through.
This is who you are.
Someone that is aware of their personal space and protects their space with boundaries.
You no longer give your power away to please others.
You are respectful of yourself and others and speak up with loving boundaries when necessary.
Take a moment and let this all sink in and become your new program to live by.
Breathe in and feel your power and own now that you have a new foundation and awareness for setting boundaries.
Remembering this is a process and will take practice,
But you can do this.
Give yourself permission to not only be successful with this,
But to also make mistakes and learn from them.
Never give up on yourself.
You are worth it.
Open your eyes when you feel complete and know that you can return to this meditation as much as you want or need in order to continue to build up your foundation to set boundaries.
