Let's take a deep breath in and breathe out and let it all settle and then go ahead and close down your eyes or you can just stay here with me.
And start to really become aware of what's going on internally and what's going on externally.
Start to tune into those senses.
Start to be aware of the noise around you.
And as you start to become aware of the noise,
Aware of all of your senses,
Start to return back to an awareness of you.
Start to notice how you're responding.
Start to notice what you're doing.
Start to recognize that autopilot.
And just for a moment,
Start to ask yourself one simple question.
Do I want to continue this?
No judgment,
Just noticing.
In this moment,
With a conscious awareness of how I am responding to the noise around me,
Do I want to continue this?
Is it in your best interest?
Or is there a subtle shift that you can make?
There's no right,
There's no wrong.
But just give yourself that gift of that sacred interruption.
And when that answer becomes clear,
If you need to make an adjustment,
Go ahead and try that.
If the answer is that you do want to continue to respond the way that you are,
Continue that.
But as you go forward this week,
I want to invite you to maybe set a gentle reminder on your phone.
Just something that pops up on your calendar and says,
Interrupt the noise.
And use it as a chance to pause,
To re-center,
To come back to your body,
To really ask yourself,
Do I want to continue this?
Give yourself that gift of that sacred interruption,
So that you can start to come home to yourself.
And just for a moment,
Start to begin to become aware of all of the things that are calling for your attention.
Start to let the mind wander.
Allow for it to think of what's going to happen tomorrow.
Or allow for yourself to start to ruminate on what happened yesterday.
At that same time,
Start to become aware of the noises in the room.
Start to become aware of the distractions.
And just for a moment,
Let that build.
Let the noise become too much.
And feel into that discomfort.
Feel into the part of you that is trying to get away.
And with full awareness of the distractions in life,
The noise in life,
Start to become aware of the breath.
Start to notice that as your anchor,
Knowing that the breath cannot be anywhere but right here.
Start to notice the temperature of the air as you breathe in through the nose.
Start to notice the temperature of the air as you let it breathe out.
With that gentle curiosity,
Start to become aware of what it feels like to breathe in and what it feels like to breathe out.
And if that mind starts to wander,
Taking you back to the noise surrounding you continue with curiosity to just connect to the breath.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And each time that the mind starts to wander,
Don't think of it as a failure.
Think of it as an opportunity to continue to practice that skill of anchoring.
What does the air feel like in the chest?
What does the air feel like in the chest?
What does the air feel like in the belly?
What does it feel like to be here?
Not needing to be anywhere else.
Not needing to follow those thoughts.
But just continuing to return to that anchor.
Letting everything drop.
And while the world may rage around you,
Anchor into that stillness,
That quiet,
That calm.
And then when it feels right,
Go ahead and flutter your eyes open and take in the space around you.
Remembering that nothing has changed.
The world is just as loud.
The things calling out for your attention are still there.
The distractions are just as noticeable.
But through anchoring,
You've been able to find that way back to the here and now.
Finding that bit of calm in the chaos.
So this week,
I want to remind you to use your tools.
That each week,
My goal is to continue to provide you with a few more tools to put into your toolbox.
Knowing that they may not all work.
But we're giving you the ability to continue to have something to reach for in those moments where the world feels too loud.
So keep finding that sacred interruption.
Keep finding those spaces to say no,
To create more space in your life.
And when everything gets too loud,
Find that anchor.
Let it be your refuge.
A quiet place inside a loud world.
So let's close today just with another deep breath in.
And breathe out.
And let it all settle.
Now,
Go take care of yourself.
And I will see you next week.
