Let's take a deep breath in,

And breathe out,

And let it all settle.

And then go ahead and close down your eyes,

Or you can just stay here with me.

And start to let yourself settle into what's beneath you,

Concentrating on the breath as you breathe in,

And breathe out,

Letting the shoulders drop,

Letting the jaw be loose,

Letting everything sink.

Now,

Start to bring to mind something that's uncertain in your life,

Something that is unresolved,

And without trying to fix it,

Or make it better,

Or create the solution,

Just gently hold it in your awareness.

And as you hold that space of uncertainty,

There may be a space of discomfort,

And let that be there.

Now,

Bring your awareness to your body.

Where's that uncertainty showing up?

Maybe it's in your chest,

Or your belly,

Maybe your hands are clenching,

Or your jaw is tight,

But wherever you're feeling that uncertainty,

Maybe that fear,

Just place your hand there,

And start to send a breath into that part of you.

Breathing in,

And letting go.

Breathing in,

And letting go.

And as you let that fear be there,

Just start to silently remind yourself,

I don't know what will happen,

But I am here,

And I can meet this moment.

And with that,

Just start to allow for that fear to start to melt away,

Almost as if it could just leave you,

And sink into the ground beneath you.

Start to connect back to the breath.

Start to let the body settle,

Letting go of that fear,

Finding a space of comfort in the discomfort,

And knowing that although this future might be unknown,

In this moment you are safe.

You are here.

There's nowhere else you need to be.

As you feel into that space of safety,

Start to become aware of the space around you,

The sounds,

The smells,

The taste,

The touch,

And when it feels right and safe to do so,

Go ahead and flutter your eyes open,

Just taking the space around you,

Living in this present moment,

Connected to the safety you feel,

The knowing that no matter what happens,

You can get through.

As you go forward this week,

Continue to return back to that knowledge.

Keep meeting yourself where you are.

Find that strength in the familiar.

Use your tools,

And remember that although it might be scary,

You are capable of moving through it.

We'll end today as we begin,

With a deep breath in,

And breathe out,

And let it all settle.

Now,

Go take care of yourself,

And I will see you next week.

I was able to quickly move the uncertainty away from my mind and body to a feeling of relief and peace. The visualization and breathing worked together to create a sense of calm. I feel more comfortable. I feel less anxious. I have compassion.
