Hi again.
My name is Melissa Kleehammer,
And we're gathering here for class number four to make a bruise roller or a bruise smoother.
To keep it really simple.
All you absolutely need is lavender essential oil and some kind of carrier,
Jojoba oil.
Sweet almond,
Whatever you tend to use.
Lavender is like a miracle oil for two reasons.
It has two components in it.
Well it has two major components in it.
One is linalool which is very calming,
Very gentle on the skin,
Very soothing physically and emotionally.
The second component is called linoleic acetate,
And that's a bit more powerful in that it's an analgesic or pain reliever.
It's a sedative.
It's an antispasmodic.
So if you've hurt yourself a little bit,
Adding that component of linalool acetate is very helpful.
It lives in lavender.
So that is why lavender alone.
Is great for this if you want to keep it really,
Really simple.
If you have a lot of oils at home that you want to use.
Add clary sage,
Or I should say adding clary sage,
Has a lot of the linalool acetate,
That more powerful sedative anti-inflammatory oil.
So I'm going to put that in mind today.
And then we can carry over rosemary that we used in our first class.
And that has very pain relieving and warming qualities as well.
So today I've chosen a small five mil.
So I'll say what I'm using for my five milliliter,
But then I'll also offer if you have a 10 milliliter,
Because I understand that that's what you're using.
Is the typical size that you use.
So for lavender,
Now I should say,
If you are only using lavender,
In a five mil.
It would be 10 drops.
You're using a 10 milliliter only lavender.
You're going to go with 20.
So,
And then just,
You leave it at that.
In my five mil,
I am adding five drops of lavender.
So I want to offer simple options,
But also a few additions.
So I hope that that's not confusing for you.
In my five milliliter,
I am putting only three drops of clary sage.
So if you're using a 10 mil.
You're adding six.
If you're using it at all.
The early stage is very powerful.
A little goes a long way.
Okay,
And then rosemary in the five mil is only one drop.
So you can add two or three in your 10 mil if that's what you're using.
Right?
So.
So we'll shake.
Give it a little smell.
And then whatever carrier oil you want to use.
Whichever you're doing,
You're just filling up to this bottom lip here so that you have space to push the roller in.
And then if you have.
.
.
A little rag,
A little towel.
Always very careful to wipe top and put it way off to the side.
And then same with your actual roller.
Then you're taking the roller.
Pushing it in.
Okay,
And then for this you can write bruise,
Bruising,
However you want to write it.
Name it.
I'm just writing brews because I put my labels on the top.
You know,
There's only so much room,
And you want to be able to read it.
So I just put bruised.
All right,
So there you go.
Again,
I know that all of these oils are for a first aid kit,
So the idea is that we don't use them very often,
But I hope that when you do,
You find added relief.
So thank you for being here for making this bruise roller.
Our next class,
We're moving into inhalers.
So I hope that you'll join me.
Again,
My name is Melissa Kleehammer,
And thanks for being here.
