Welcome to this meditation,
Where you'll have the opportunity to meet your future self,
The person that you will become in the future.
I'll be introducing guided imagery and leading you through visualization to fully immerse yourself into the experience,
And you'll have a chance to ask any questions that you might have for your future self,
So that you can receive wisdom,
Guidance,
And reassurance that will help you on your path forward.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
And when you breathe out,
Allow the muscles in your neck and shoulders to release and relax.
Breathing in again,
Filling your lungs,
And releasing the air slowly and gently.
Breathe in again,
And slowly breathe out.
Continue breathing at a pace that feels right for you.
Breathing in and out without effort,
And noticing how the air comes in and out of your body.
Feeling yourself relaxing more and more with each breath.
Noticing this moment of stillness and peace here in the present moment.
As you continue to breathe,
On the next inhale,
Imagine that you're breathing in a bright golden light in through the top of your head.
Feeling the warmth and soothing of this light beam as it slowly flows in through your head,
Filling your head with light,
And releasing any tension from your forehead,
The sides and back of your head.
Feeling it relaxing the muscles in your cheeks and jaw,
Releasing any tension in the base of your head and the start of your neck.
Using the inhale to guide the light down into your neck and down your shoulders,
Allowing the muscles to soften and relax.
Keep breathing at your own pace,
And with each inhale,
The warm golden light slowly moves down through your body.
Breathing in and imagining the soothing light is now slowly flowing down to fill your chest,
Feeling it warming your chest,
And allowing the breath to guide the light down your arms,
All the way down to your fingers,
And breathing out any feelings of stuckness or stagnation.
Breathing the beautiful glowing light into your belly and your lower back,
And breathing out any self-doubt and worry.
Breathing in once more and guiding the light down through your legs and out through the soles of your feet,
Feeling it clearing and unburdening you.
Continue breathing slowly and gently,
And with one additional deep breath,
Imagine guiding the light all the way from the top of your head,
Down through your body,
And out of the soles of your feet.
Clearing out any remaining stress and negativity,
Feeling yourself being unburdened,
Free.
Noticing yourself feeling lighter,
Almost as if you're floating,
Just barely resting against the surface beneath you.
Now I'd like you to bring an image into your mind's eye.
Imagine that the seat that you're resting on is a bench under the shade of a big old tree.
You're seated at the edge of a vast meadow,
And when you look out in front of you,
You see lush green grasses swaying gently,
Vibrant wildflowers of all colors,
And a meandering stream running across the meadow.
You notice that there's also a dirt path leading straight out into the meadow from the bench that you're sitting on.
Take a moment now to look out at this beautiful and serene scene.
See the bright blue sky with a few birds flying above,
And a few more moving about in the meadow.
You can hear the faint twittering of these birds,
As well as the soft rustling of the leaves from the tree that you're sitting under.
A slight breeze blows through,
Making the temperature just right.
As you continue to look out at the meadow,
You see a figure appear on the path in the distance,
And you notice that this person is slowly moving toward you,
Gracefully,
Almost as if they're gliding along the path.
This person who's approaching you is your future self,
Coming to meet with you.
As they get nearer,
You can see that they move with a calm confidence.
There's an ease in their movement.
You now see that your future self is right in front of you,
And you can see this person clearly now.
Notice what your future self looks like.
This future version of yourself may be from the distant future,
Or not too far into the future.
See if you can tell how old you are.
Now you see your future self smile,
A warm,
Knowing smile.
And you can return the smile and say hello,
Or greet your future self in whatever way feels right for you.
Your future self,
Who knows you better than anyone else in this world,
Is excited to meet with you.
They're now looking at you with deep love and understanding.
Notice how good it feels to be in the presence of this future version of you.
There's a comfort and familiarity.
Your future self is radiating positive,
Loving energy.
In a moment,
I'll allow time for you to let your future self know what your intentions are for meeting today,
What you're hoping to learn or gain,
And what part of your life you're most curious about.
You can ask any questions that you desire.
Or you can let your future self know that you're open to any general messages that are important for you to know at this time.
So go ahead and ask your question now,
And wait patiently for a response,
Staying open to whatever words,
Images,
Or ideas appear.
If you find that your mind is drifting,
Or you're feeling doubtful because you're not getting a response,
Take a deep breath and relax again into this beautiful serene scene,
Focusing in on the presence of your future self,
Sensing their compassion and wisdom.
Then ask your question again.
Or you can take this time to ask another question,
Or ask for clarification,
And simply observe what comes.
And now that you've asked your questions,
Know that your answers may continue to be revealed over time.
So stay open to any signs,
Symbols,
Dreams,
Chance encounters,
Or sudden insights that you have over the coming days.
Focus again on the presence of your future self.
Look deep into your future self's eyes.
See how they're almost twinkling as a smile comes across their face.
Now I'll share with you an encouraging message from your future self that is coming through right now.
Imagine your future self telling you that you're not alone,
And it's going to be okay.
You're stronger than you realize,
And incredibly resilient.
You may believe you have an idea of what you want now,
But remain open because something better and beyond what you could have imagined is on its way.
Keep moving forward.
Each step along the way,
No matter how small it seems,
Gets you closer to your goals.
Things will not always work out as planned,
But there's something to be gained from each experience,
And it will all come together and make more sense in due time.
Remain focused on what you truly want,
Beyond the material world.
What you truly want for yourself.
Focus on what's most important to you,
And let that be your guide.
Embrace your unique path.
Your breakthrough is coming.
You're closer than you think.
Take a moment to let that sink in.
When you're ready,
Thank your future self for spending time with you and sharing their wisdom and guidance.
And now,
It's time to say goodbye to your future self.
You can do so in whatever way feels right for you.
Once you've said your goodbye,
Watch as they slowly glide away,
Back down the path into the distance.
Once your future self is no longer in view,
Notice the beautiful scene before you,
Slowly beginning to fade away,
As you begin to return to the physical space that you're in right now,
In this time.
Feeling yourself gently landing back onto the surface you're resting upon.
Noticing where your body is making contact with the surface beneath you.
Take a deep breath.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and take a look at your surroundings,
To return yourself fully back into the present moment.
