Hi friends!

It's time for your daily affirmation,

Inspiration,

And mindful journaling prompt.

Today we're on inspiration 350.

I protect my inner peace.

You protect your inner peace by being mindful of the people and situations that try to steal it away from you.

You know that your serenity is precious and you take measures to guard it.

You build a space of calm and clarity around yourself,

Allowing you to flow with life's changes.

You remind yourself that you're in control of your own peace.

Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.

You stay motivated by doing meaningful work and taking breaks when you need to rest and recharge.

You inspire others with your peaceful presence and show them that inner peace is always within reach.

I'm reading this and it's reminding me of when I had no inner peace.

Absolutely zip.

Zero.

Nada.

Nothing.

It was the last few years that I completely had none when I was with my narcissistically abusive ex-husband who was mentally,

Emotionally,

And sexually abusive.

I had no peace.

That was a direct result of gaslighting and projection and word salad and crazy making and all the typical things that you hear.

There were times when I really was trying to come back to that peace and question things.

There was pushback against the own evidence of my own experience in my own eyes.

I questioned it and I let that person steal my inner peace.

The inner peace that I had held for decades.

I'm not saying that I had inner peace all the time but I had inner peace a lot of the time.

When I finally woke up and realized that that's what was going on,

That was when I started to recapture that inner peace.

There are people that are trying to steal your sense of calm and clarity.

Whether they're doing it deliberately or not,

It doesn't matter.

It could be happening.

In my ex-husband's case,

That was how he maintained control.

I had a neighbor who was similar.

She didn't really have any idea she was doing it but she always seemed to have some drama in her life.

You know the kind of person I'm talking about.

She was always coming to me with her sob story and looking for somebody to give her sympathy and support which I was happy to do.

One day I needed some sympathy and support and she wasn't there.

That's when my eyes were opened and I realized,

Oh this is somebody that is just trying to create more of the same in the people around her by disrupting and stealing their peace.

Be aware that there are people that are stealing your peace.

Whether they are doing it consciously or not,

It's happening.

If you are practicing mindfulness,

You're striving towards a regular sense of inner peace,

You're actively doing that.

Whether you're meditating,

I do that four or five times a day.

Whether you are mindfully journaling,

Which I do three or four times a week,

Or you're practicing some kind of active meditation like yoga or just walking in the woods or in nature,

You're taking time to recharge yourself and to fill your cup with inner peace.

Don't let other people steal that from you.

It's yours.

You're earning it.

Hang on to it.

Your mindful journaling prompt today is,

What are some ways that I can protect my inner peace?

Let me know what comes up for you in the comments.

I would love to see how you protect your inner peace.

Have a lovely day.
