Meet your Teacher

Vivienne is an author, educator and coach. She loves guiding people to uncover the wisdom and resilience they're made of. She works with people from all walks of life who would like to experience more joy and freedom in their lives, and has a special place in her heart and work for those struggling with the idea or the reality of childlessness. In the last fifteen years Vivienne has studied with pioneers in mental wellbeing and psychology, and now she knows for sure what she always suspected: change can be much easier than we've always thought; life can feel simpler, more gentle. There’s something infinitely more powerful than self-improvement techniques, belief-change, resilience-building and coping strategies, and this is what Vivienne points to in her work with clients in all fields (social enterprises, corporates, healthcare etc.) through coaching and facilitation. She's experienced for herself, and seen in her clients the lasting peace of mind and increased clarity that comes with understanding the nature and power of Thought and the nature and power of us. She's written books that have helped people the world over uncover their innate resilience and wellbeing. Vivienne is passionate about exploring the nature of change and the understanding of the mind that frees people up to realise their hidden potential. There's so much more on offer here than we could possibly imagine, and exploring the possibilities is Vivienne's favourite thing to do.

This lesson starts to explore the unconditional nature of resilience and the relationship between resilience and serenity. We begin to uncover the misunderstanding that keeps us stuck, and start to look in a new direction, beyond our assumptions about where peace of mind and resilience really come from.

In this lesson, we explore our relationship to nature, and what that means for how we relate to perceived negative feelings. We'll start to look at what feelings are made of, and why they're nothing to be afraid of or worry about.

Getting Comfortable With Feeling Uncomfortable

Here we explore uncomfortable feelings and wonder what might happen if they didn't seem like a problem any more. We consider whether it really makes sense to try and 'manage' uncomfortable feelings, and consider an alternative approach.

Where Your Feelings Are Really Coming From

This lesson explores the idea that our experience of life isn't coming from our circumstances - people, events and situations - and why controlling circumstances is not the key to sustained serenity and wellbeing.

You're OK, Even If You Don't Feel OK

In this lesson we explore the misunderstanding that has us believing our feelings are an indicator of how 'ok' we are. We look at the ways people try to escape unwanted feelings, and what happens when you understand you're ok, even when you don't feel ok.

Worry, And The Infinite Possibilities Of Life

In this lesson we take a look at worry, and how it's impacting your experience of life. We look at the illogic that's built in to the activity of worry, and what happens when we start to understand the nature of worry and what we can really count on as we navigate life.

Lesson 7

Serenity Is Already Yours

In this lesson we recap the ideas explored in the other modules, and consider once again why resilience doesn't need to be built or developed, and why you can take it for granted. We turn our attention to the natural ebb and flow of life and our inbuilt capacity for joy and peace - for serenity.
