Grief Alchemy: Reclaiming Your Joy After A Loss

With Trina Brunk

If you’ve been living with Grief that hasn’t eased over the passage of time, if grief is keeping you from stepping into your life fully, if you’re ready for a change but Grief keeps pulling you back into old patterns, this course was created for you. I will share several resources I’ve found for working with Grief that I haven’t found anywhere else, including support for listening deeply for what your Grief wants to tell you, and several possible pathways to helping grief to integrate, with guided meditations and self-practice and troubleshooting suggestions to support your journey. We’ll explore Grief’s hidden superpower in assisting us with changes that we want to make, and we’ll go over some common places to get stuck in dealing with grief and other difficult emotions, and chart a course for reclaiming your joy in living for this next phase of your life.

Lesson 2

Finding Out How To Help Your Grief Help You

As I've worked with mine and others' Grief, I've found that typically it wants to follow one of four different pathways to integrate. In this lesson I'll share with you a guided practice to opening up the dialogue with your grief to find out if it wants one of these four directions, or something else.

Lesson 3

If Grief Just Wants To Be Felt

If Grief just wants to be felt, all there is to do is feel it. Allowing ourselves to feel our grief allows old patterns of consciousness to dissolve and return to a pure creative energy state, so that your energy is freed up for the way life wants to move through you NOW. I'll share here some direct ways to do that.

Lesson 4

If Grief Wants Healing

Sometimes Grief can’t complete without there being a healing intervention. You’ll hear that Time heals all wounds, and Time can certainly be a component of how we can integrate a healing experience, but there’s one thing that can hold the process up if we’re not aware. In this lesson I'll share some things that might help.

Lesson 6

If Grief Wants To Be Given Back

Sometimes we can attempt to "take on" the grief of others. This doesn't help them and it gets in our way too. If Grief is asking to be given back, here is an easy meditative practice you can try that makes use of two different questions.

Welcome to Day 7! Today you get two sessions for one — a short check-in for Lesson 7, followed by Lesson 8, After Grief, Regeneration. In this final lesson, we’ll explore the way the liminal space of a major transition or loss is paradoxically an especially potent opportunity to plant the seeds of our deepest values. This was a very helpful course. I recommend it if you’re grieving, especially for a grief that feels heavy and doesn’t seem to be going away. I will save this.

This is a good course for someone in grief! It was for me, and I downloaded it and will listen again. I wish but don't have much hope for my grief to end. I guess my grief still wants to be felt; maybe not, but when I feel it, it's a strong feeling. Healing is still needed and possible, but I don't forsee a complete healing. It's helpful to be able to rule out giving it back. I think the person I lost would want me to let it go, but the loss affects me in most every facet of my life, so I will relisten to the advice for that and work on it. I have had some progress in healing and letting go. I appreciate the course for giving me the 4 categories; I think they cover the situation well, simplifying the scope of the grief in my thoughts. It took me 16 months to finish the course. I have a bunch of courses going and often listen with the purpose of falling asleep. I have made some progress with grief, and I have professional help. Now that I finished the course, I am considering going through it again faster. I think this course covers the quintessential aspects of recovery from grief.

Thank you for this course. You really helped me get a somatic hold on grief, so that I am able to feel, talk and listen to it. Hoping that I will begin to flourish and grow now as I learn to let grief go where it needs to go.

I was emotionally ready to hear the creative ideas brought up about grief in this course. It's been 3 years since a tragic loss and I needed linear instructions to get through back then. This more esoteric take on grief was helpful and expands my understanding of my self. So thank you.

This course is a good reminder that grief is a process and if we kill it too soon we will miss the gifts inherent in alchemising such intense emotions. I have wanted to rush through my grief. I was afraid to go deeper because I thought it would never end. Now I am able to going deeper because I have the tools to navigate that dark sea. Thank you and blessings 🙏

Too simple. Megan Devine’s It’s okay not to be okay has a more reasonable expectation to grief. Grief is carried and you can use metaphors like gardens and weeds that simplifies the grief process, grief hurts. Grief is painful. Grief takes time. The idea of this is great for some people but it doesn’t resonate with my grief.
