Mindfulness For Busy People - by Tom Evans

COURSE

Mindfulness For Busy People

With Tom Evans

This course is designed for those who are simply too busy to start and keep up with a daily meditation practice, or who think they are too busy. If you want to find a similar motivation to start and stick with a daily meditation practice, with this course and in just 30 days, you will discover it is a really nice-to-have and essential habit. To make things even easier and more digestible, the course is split into three equal parts. These will include a mixture of: discovering how to open your mind to many spin-off benefits from daily meditation, learning an introduction to meditative techniques you can use at any time of the day, and awakening your consciousness to a new level. Over the next 30 days you will discover that daily meditation is a key that opens the door to a new level of existence and awareness. You will come to understand how to live a blissful life where opportunity lies around every corner and serendipity turns up at your door.

His books are an eclectic mix of self-help and personal development, philosophical futurology and metaphysical exploration. His meditations will open your mind and open your world to new possibilities.

Middle Of The Day Reset

As our day moves forward, we can sometimes hit a lull or dead spot where our energy drops. In today's lesson, we undergo a tactical and restorative meditation to reset and recharge. This practice can also be reffered to as a ‘snoozitation.’

Lesson 3

Just For The Evening

Our sleep time is incredibly important and a time in which we process much that goes on in our waking day. You may like to have your journal ready, to jot down some of your reflections at the beginning of the practice.

Sometimes our head can be heavy with thoughts, often with the same type of thoughts and dialogues repeating over and over. Becoming Fear-less

From time to time, we can find ourselves being creatively uncreative. We become busy fools, getting on with everything else but the task in hand. In today's practice we look at where this procrastination can come from, before being led through a powerful visualisation where we say goodbye to these bandits of time, forever.

Lesson 7

Being Guided

To help us on our path, we can call on silent guides for advice and direction. In today's practice we bring in three essenses or qualities, to help steer us in the right future trajectory. Each of us has the capacity to choose the nature and scope of such guidance. It ultimately, makes our path less lonely and more fun.

Lesson 8

Re- Imagining Your Life

Just imagine a perfect life. Now imagine a life that is more than perfect. The latter concept is a little harder to answer, but today's meditation will begin to show you how. As our thoughts begin to manifest in the world around us, this is a particularly invaluable practice.

Lesson 9

Life's Choices

In today's practice we will continue exploring how to bring our wildest dreams into fruition. Today's guided visualisation is a metaphorical journey, that contains no instruction. Instead, this visualisation is resonant of a parable and will gently lead you to look at the choices available to you in your life and to subtly alter your course.

Lesson 10

Sleeping Like A Baby

Together, we will explore how we can use our sleep time to explore the most optimal parts of our life. Lesson 12

Making Life A Breeze

I am not a practicing Buddhist but some of the philosophies behind Buddhism ooze with common sense. One of them is called the Eightfold Noble Path. This visualisation takes you on a journey around that path. This practice is a precursor to achieving a meditative state throughout the whole day and in doing so, perform to the best of our ability at all times.

Lesson 13

Being Mindful

This visualisation takes you on a journey of the mind to help you make your waking days more mindful. These visualisations came to me while I was in deep meditation. As a result, as you tune into them, you will find it easier and easier to access this state too.

Lesson 14

Being Timeful

When we meditate each day, we find that mindfulness leads naturally to a state of timefulness. In this blissful state, we find that we not only get more done with less time, but that external events also seem to happen exactly at the right time.

Lesson 15

Being Kindful

In the same way that the practice of mindfulness leads us naturally into a state of timefulness, timefulness naturally leads us to being able to demonstrate kindfulness. When we get more things done in less time, this gives us more time to not only be kind to others but to be kind to ourselves.

Lesson 16

Noticing Signs

If we spend our days in a state of busy-ness, we can miss the signs and serendipities that can help us the most. These signs can often come along in bizarre and unexpected manners. Today's enlivening visualisation practice will help you spot them.

Lesson 19

Walking Mindfully

Today's lesson focuses on the principle of mindful movement, namely walking. Today's visualisation can be listened to while out walking or just by imagining you are out walking. Just like the Mindful Eating visualisation, it’s worth trying it both ways for a bit of fun.

Lesson 20

Moving With Purpose

From time to time, we can become lost and bewildered, questioning our purpose and direction. In this practice we learn how best to move forward, with purpose. You are always, only one meditation away from the answer. Together we delve into building clarity on what our purpose truly is.

Lesson 21

Being Grounded

In today's practice, we aim to become more mindful about mindfulness itself. As we come to know our mind better, we can better utilise the time and effort we invest in our endeavours. As such, we will become able to make a greater deal of quick and accurate decisions, opening the door to an abundance of opportunities. In today's visualisation practice, you can lie down or sit up, as you are guided to re-connect with the Earth Plane and create a foundation for the coming days.

Satisfying Needs

If you feel a lack or that something is missing from your life, this visualisation will connect you with the essence of what you need right now. Lesson 23

Entrusting Your Gut

There is probably not a single person alive who has made a poor decision and afterwards wished that they had trusted their gut instinct. This next visualisation activates your gut mind and re-kindles the communication between it and your conscious brain.

Lesson 24

Activating Your Heart Ray

Today we explore the heart-mind. From our heart centre, we can radiate warmth (and healing) to anyone else's heart, in the past, present and future. When we live a life where we beam out nothing but unconditional love, all that we love naturally gravitates towards us.

Lesson 25

Speaking Your Truth

Today, we look at our Throat Chakra. If we are prevented from speaking our truth or expressing our feelings verbally, it can lead to an overthinking mind, sadness, and bodily responses such as sore throats and coughs. Today, we consciously become mindful of the nature and sounds of our words. We are essentially, learning a new relationship with our throat.

Lesson 26

Knowing Your Minds

It is part of the illusion that our thoughts are generated inside our head. A more accurate picture is that our brain is both the receiver and generator of thoughts. In today's visualisation, we will be shown how to know our minds in a whole new way, and in doing so, make better and wiser decisions.

Lesson 27

Opening To Channel

Our brains are transducers that connect us with our past and future thoughts. In today's lesson, we explore how to tap into our lower mind sensors to establish if an idea is worth running ahead with or not. You will also find out how to tap into future memories to help you in the present moment.

Lesson 28

Accessing Superconsciousness

Today, we take things further and deeper, as we look at how all of our mind centers have access to the superconsciousness. We are all connected by one field of consciousness. Our inner dialogue disconnects us from it. Together, let us discover how to re-connect permanently.

Lesson 29

Reaching Oneness

Once we were all one. Now we are separate. In today's visualisation, we explore the oneness in which superconsciousness was formed. Just Reflecting

In this final session, we will reflect on each of our powerful and individual journeys over the last 30 days. This practice of reflection will give us profound insights into the new opportunities and ways of life that are well within our reach. Together, we will undertake a special visualisation where lessons of the course will come full circle and we explore reflection as an enlivening and empowering superconscious activity.

Thanks Tom! Great stuff. We change when we do the work and practice every day. Busy or not, there's always time. What is time, anyway, but a relative construct that helps give context to the stream of thoughts, a riverbed.

Really enjoyed this and really appreciate Tom’s approach. I’ve been struggling with feeling overwhelmed and anxious so I started being more intentional about meditation a couple months ago amd this course helped me stay on track — every day straight through. It also helped me see things in different ways and I did notice that my thoughts seemed less hectic. I think I’ll do it again, but maybe in the way Tom suggested at the end: backwards. I like feeling more grounded; this course really helped me with that.
