This course is a quick, simple, yet deep dive, into mindfulness meditation and how it can be used to benefit a business. It is equally applicable to large corporations as it is for a self-employed, one-person micro-businesses. It is aimed equally at board members, managers and employees and the principles apply across all business sectors. In the 21st century, there is a need and desire to think, be and do differently and you can embrace mindfulness meditation as a ‘technology for the mind’ to help you in this regard. Each day starts with a brief introduction and then leads you into a guided visualisation that will help you both personally and in business. When a business operates from a mindful perspective, people want to be employed by it and stay with it. Clients and suppliers both want to trade with it. In time too, you will find you get more done with less effort and more ease. The first half of the course introduces the basic principles and concepts behind meditation and mindfulness. You will learn how mindfulness leads to timefulness and then to kindfulness. The second half of the course gives you five meditative techniques that enhance creativity, improve productivity, ignite your creative spark, become more attractive and luckier. Meet your Teacher

Tom Evans is the author of many books, three of which are specifically on the subject of mindfulness - namely "The Authority Guide to Mindfulness," "Managing Time Mindfully" and "Mindful, Timeful, Kindful." As an ex-engineer, his approach to mindfulness and meditation is to make it accessible, easy, and practical in its application. For example, one of his courses on the app is called The Art of Timefulness, which explains how to get more done with less time through the practice of daily meditation. Tom has introduced mindfulness techniques to many businesses, showing them how to work and operate smarter, leaner, and more effortlessly.

How To Meditate

Mindful Days

Discover more about what mindfulness is and how you can use it in your daily and professional life. Learn that you can meditate without being mindful and be mindful, with your eyes open, without meditating. When we then become mindful about how mindful we are, we transcend to a new place. Mindfulness becomes embedded and integral to all thoughts, feelings, and actions. It spreads radially around us too.

Timeful Days

When we become more mindful, something magical happens. Events around us seem to occur just at the right time. As a result, we end up with more time on our hands and we enter a new state called timefulness. If you could do with another hour a day or even another day a week, there are some gems here.

The Art Of Kindfulness

With more time on our hands, by being both mindful and timeful, we start to have more time on our hands to be kind. It’s smart to use this kindfulness on ourselves first. This in turn gives us more time to be kind to others. As a result, it all comes full circle and the world is kind back to us. What goes around comes around, to those in the know.

When we follow a mindful, timeful and kindful methodology, it allows us and our businesses to transcend and operate at a whole new level. Lesson 6

Fueling Creativity

Our breath does more than keep us alive, it is the energy that ignites our creative spark by literally inspiring us. Using simple breathing techniques, you will learn how to get the left and right brains in harmony and enter what is known as the Whole Brain State. When we do this, time itself takes on a new quality and we enter what is known as Extended Me Time where more gets done, with higher quality, with less time. When we remain in a calm state during the day, a quieter mind becomes more acute at picking up on signs and serendipities. What we need starts to arrive just in time, and sometimes, even before we actually need it. Thank you, Tom, for sharing your insights, your story and years of experience. This course was eye opening in many ways and it also had basic concepts that I have known about from many years of meditating that are good for review and for the beginner alike. The pluses we’re looking forward to the next surprise is each following lesson and the ability to relate with the instructor regardless of whether he was feet/on-the-ground scientific or woo-woo (in his own words). I shall listen in reverse order and I imagine I’ll listen to the lessons I liked the most repeatedly like I did the first time since there are so many juicy ideas to take in and absorb. The thing that I thought could be improved was a technical one for me: the balance of the volume level of music to vocal recording. I found that I couldn’t understand some words when listening on my iPhone without an external speaker and had to rewind a number of times to understand some sentences. However, I’m a pretty picky, sensitive musician who spends many hours the day listening to myself and others for work, sometimes every day of the week. Perhaps others felt differently. When I used an external Bose speaker, listening was much easier with the washes of music and chimes. For me, setting the music a bit back and having the vocals up front is most satisfying. This balance seemed to improve towards the end of the course. Thanks, again ~ it’s a pleasure to learn these ideas. I got a lot out of the course.
