"Luminous, monks, is the mind. And it is freed from incoming defilements." (AN 1.51) A guided practice for releasing identification with the activities of the mind. After settling the body and the breath, you turn toward the subtlest of the three settlings. The instruction is simple: distinguish between the stillness of awareness and the movement of thought. Then, without chasing or rejecting anything, let all mental formations dissolve by themselves. What remains is the mind's own luminous clarity, empty and vivid, needing nothing added and nothing removed. Practice daily in the morning. In the evening, recall and inhabit the instructions without the guided audio. To fully integrate, we want to develop the capacity to carry these teachings independently. Part of A Path Between Worlds, a progressive contemplative training.
