Transcript

To this guided meditation,

As Maddy,

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position,

Maybe placing a pillow underneath your knees if you have any discomfort in the lower back when laying down.

Taking a few moments to get settled here,

Coming in with your physical body,

Maybe for the first time today.

Start by taking some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Deep inhale through the nose,

Fully exhaling through the mouth.

There are receptors at the bottoms of your lungs,

If we can reach those receptors with our breath,

We tell the nervous system that it's time to relax.

Inhaling deeply into the belly,

Exhaling long and slow,

Maybe for 5 or 6 seconds.

Begin to scan the body.

Remember that meditation is not about clearing the mind.

We've tried that many times and we've failed,

Pushing away experiences and thoughts.

Instead,

I want you to just be aware,

Without judgment,

Of all that is.

If there are distractions in the room surrounding you,

Maybe you have a lot on your plate,

Missing mind or maybe discomfort in your physical body,

Instead of trying to force a meditative state,

Recognize that you are not your thoughts.

Higher seat of awareness as the observer that you experience,

Just gently guiding the awareness from the top of the head,

Shoulders and back,

Feeling into any tension that might be there.

Relax into the belly,

On the legs and the feet,

Noticing and releasing.

See if you can bring your awareness to your emotional body.

Emotional body is located just a couple of inches above and around your physical body,

Your aura.

Picking up more space in the room,

Expanding your awareness and your consciousness just above the body.

What does that feel like?

In that long,

Slow breath,

You too start to take the reins of your thoughts now.

Begin to visualize yourself walking through a green forest,

Hanging vines and lush trees,

On a mossy forest floor,

Birds are chirping,

Sun is peeking through the canopies.

Feel safe here,

A butterfly appears and you know you are supposed to follow it,

It leads you down a path,

Gently formed by the forest,

Which starts to get thicker and denser around you as you go deeper into the path,

Until you know there is something here for you.

Keep following.

As the path begins to widen out,

You see a butterfly,

A corner,

And it starts to fly away.

You know its path once again.

To see your path opening up,

Just as you hear the sound of running water.

You look forward,

Where there is a creek,

A beautiful shade of pink and purple,

And glimmers on the water,

And you feel down beside it,

As if a hand is reaching out for your own,

And as if somebody that's past,

Someone you miss,

Presents with you here now.

Feel their grace and their love,

Their essence surrounding you,

And you know that they are here to deliver you a message,

Something that you've been needing to hear,

As you look into their eyes,

What are they saying,

Can you let down your walls enough to let this in,

Can you open up and receive what they are saying to you now,

Feeling their presence with you,

Feeling their presence,

And maybe more have joined you now,

Your angels,

Your ancestors,

Your guides,

Your loved ones,

Feel their hands on your shoulders,

Supporting you,

Holding you.

Feel them filling you up,

A divine remembrance of who you really are,

The encouragement and clarity that you've needed,

Let it wash over you,

And you know that you can always come back here,

And it's time to say goodbye for now,

And you turn to walk down the path that brought you here,

And the white butterfly appears,

Guiding you back out of the forest,

And into your physical body,

And beginning to remember the mat or the bed that you are sitting or lying on,

Taking a deep breath in,

And a deep breath out,

Exhale,

I want you to bring your knees in,

Feet flat on the floor,

Slowly rocking them side to side,

Opening up the hips,

And then landing on the left side,

Turning onto a fetal position for the final few moments here,

Wrap your arms around yourself in an embrace,

And just remembering the beautiful messages,

And wonderful energy that you received today,

Sealing that all in,

So I pray that you would continue to be filled with blessings and clarity,

Fellowship and friends,

Guidance on your journey,

And when you're ready,

You can start to incorporate some gentle movement back into your body,

Maybe rocking or stretching,

Pushing yourself up and blinking the eyes open,

And noticing how beautifully mundane this life is,

The presence of your angels in the room with you,

They are always there,

We just need to get quiet to listen,

May you always remember that,

Thank you for your willingness,

Thank you for your heart today my friend,

May you be blessed and have peace always,

Have a beautiful day.
