Welcome.
This meditation will be filled with soothing sounds and music as well as energy healing.
If you're not familiar,
Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique that can promote healing in the body and the way that that works is we have energy always moving through us,
Including stress,
Unresolved emotions,
Even other people's emotions that we've gotten too attached to.
And when those things are not being properly released,
They can get trapped and stored in the body.
So you'll start to notice this tension as maybe anxiety or heaviness and even physical ailments like lower back pain,
Digestive issues,
Headaches.
So Reiki is really good to help you to relax and to just heal and remove any of those blockages so we can restore the natural energy flow in your body.
Reiki is not a religious or dogmatic practice but it can be very spiritual.
So before we drift off to sleep,
Whether you are resting for the night or just taking a nap,
You're welcome to say an intention or a prayer,
Calling in your guardian angels,
Your higher power,
Or anything else that resonates.
If not,
Just stick to the science here.
We're taking the body out of fight-or-flight and into rest and digest by calming the nervous system.
And that in and of itself can provide healing for your body.
So without further ado,
If you would like to receive Reiki,
You can simply nod your head or say yes to receive and give permission for this energy to come through this track which has been sent to you and is currently flowing through.
If you prefer not to receive,
Simply don't give permission and follow along to the guided sounds and songs.
We'll start with some deep cleansing breaths in through the nose and sigh it out,
Letting go of any stagnancy,
Any buzzing energy that you've picked up throughout your day or any congestion in your aura.
Breathe it in and let it go.
See if you can notice where it is in the physical body.
Breathe in.
Exhale,
Release.
Good.
Sometimes we think that we're overthinking when we lay down to sleep,
When really it's just your body and your brain processing your day.
This is completely normal.
If you don't allow yourself a few minutes to let those things move through and process,
You'll find that you wake up often throughout the night as your subconscious is not able to fully rest until those things are cleared.
So as you breathe,
Try not to judge what comes through.
You don't need to clear your mind right now.
Just notice.
Just noticing.
Very good.
Scanning the body,
Noticing if you're holding any muscles in the eyebrows,
Back of the neck,
Shoulders,
The lower back.
You can always place a pillow underneath your knees to lift up the weight of the legs off of the lower back.
If you have any compression or spinal injuries,
That may feel good for you.
You don't need to force stillness.
If your body needs movement as you clear this energy from your day,
You may opt to rock gently,
Which is what we do to babies,
Because it's soothing for the nervous system.
So grant yourself permission to move if you need it,
Or honor stillness.
And breathe.
Noticing if that breath gets caught anywhere.
It's okay if it does.
I'm going to come in with a rain stick to help to just clear any additional congestion in your energy field.
And again,
Just allowing whatever needs to come up to come up and out of the body.
Loving and listening to the body.
Maybe moving through any conversations or experiences that you had today.
Acknowledging if you went out of your way to help someone today.
Or maybe you have a lingering resentment from something that occurred.
Acknowledging that.
Noticing where it is in the physical body.
And breathe.
Clearing away any lingering energies.
Any racing thoughts or anxiety.
Melting into the bed and into the earth.
Receiving.
Let go.
And just receive.
You deserve to have peace.
You deserve to feel comforted and safe.
So allow this meditation to be that for you.
Allowing yourself to receive.
Imagine warm hands gently laying on your shoulders,
On your belly,
Or your back.
And you can feel this loving energy absorbing into your body,
Into every cell.
Visualizing these hands gently resting on your forehead.
Massaging the temples.
And down into the jaw.
Pulling out any tension from the face and the neck.
Feeling a physical release in your muscles,
At the base of your spine,
And your hips.
Letting go and making room for a new blessing or light energy to make a home in your body.
To rest.
Forget.
So held.
So loved.
So tight.
Feeling my hands over your heart now.
Sending so much love,
Protection,
Soothing energy into that heart space.
