Take a moment now to settle your body.

Allow yourself to be completely comfortable.

This is a practice of coming back into connection or strengthening or deepening our connection.

As you listen,

Let the words drop in,

Permeate your mind,

Your consciousness.

I am here,

I belong on this living earth.

Feel the movement of your body as you breathe.

As you breathe in,

Silently say or hear the words in your mind.

As you breathe in,

I receive.

As you breathe out,

I give thanks.

As you breathe in,

I receive.

As you breathe out,

I give thanks.

Let your breath be smooth,

Continuous.

Have ease in your breath.

I receive the oxygen from the trees.

I give thanks to the trees.

Imagine that you're breathing in the richness of summer,

Sun-warmed soil,

Ripening berries and fruits,

Flowers,

Leaves shimmering in the breeze.

I receive the blessings of summer.

I extend my thanks and blessings to earth,

Soil,

The abundance of food.

Let your body be soft,

Nourished.

Receive the nourishment of the air.

I offer blessings into the world.

Settle into just the awareness of the breath.

With no words,

Just the awareness of receiving and giving.

Smooth,

Even breath.

With every exhale,

I offer blessings into the world.

Let's bring our awareness to the body and to earth.

I bless my feet,

Rooted to the earth.

They have carried me well.

I bless my feet.

Imagine your feet on the earth,

On the soil.

I bless my feet,

Rooted to the earth.

They have carried me well.

I bless my hands for all they have touched.

For all the kindness I've expressed through my hands.

For the food I've created and cooked.

For the people I've touched.

I bless my hands.

I bless my hands for the art that I have created.

Perhaps the music I've played.

I bless my heart for all it has felt,

For its courage and kindness.

I bless my heart for all it has felt.

For my courage,

My kindness,

My presence.

Now imagine your body as part of the land itself.

Your bones as strong as ancient stone.

Your breath moving like summer winds.

Your blood flowing like rivers.

Your breath flowing like a river.

Your warmth glowing like fire in the sun.

My body is part of the land.

Bones as strong as ancient stone.

Breath moving like summer wind.

Blood flowing like rivers,

Like the waters of the earth.

My body is part of the land.

My warmth glowing like fire in the sun.

I feel my body as the earth.

Notice your breath,

Your body.

Let your mind be still.

I feel my body as the earth.

And I extend gratitude to earth beneath my body.

I bless the soil that nourishes every root.

Mycelium in the soil,

Roots,

Communication networks.

I bless the soil that nourishes every root.

I bless trees.

Let your favorite trees come to mind.

See them,

Let a body memory come forward of being amongst trees.

Feeling the movement of the liquids,

The waters in the trees.

Breathing in the oxygen.

Trees offer oxygen for our breath.

We offer CO2 for their breath.

I offer blessings to the trees.

I bless the waters.

Rain,

Creeks,

Lakes,

Rivers,

Oceans.

The water in the air that we breathe.

I extend gratitude and blessings to the waters of the earth.

The waters in my body.

I bless the water that's in my bloodstream,

In my digestive system.

It's in my tears.

It's in my brain.

I bless the waters in my body with heartfelt gratitude.

And I bless all the living creatures on this earth.

Birds.

Animals.

Bees.

I bless the creatures who are in this web of life with me.

I send my gratitude to the creatures of the earth.

I let gratitude ripple through like a summer breeze,

Soft and warm.

I feel the gratitude ripple through my body,

Through my breath,

Through my heart.

I let gratitude flow through me like a summer breeze.

If your mind wanders,

Simply bring it back.

It's the nature of the mind to wander like the breeze,

Like the rivers.

There's movement in our mind as well.

Let your breath have ease as we breathe in,

Aware of what we receive.

Breathing out gratitude and blessings.

Smooth,

Even breath,

Awareness.

Now bring to mind the beauty of the summer.

Imagine yourself standing in a place of abundance in the summer.

A field,

A forest,

A garden,

A patch of flowers or berries.

Imagine yourself standing in a place of abundance,

Maybe near a water or the ocean.

Notice the details,

The sunlight,

The colors,

The aromas in the air.

The touch of the breeze on your skin.

The beauty of the summer.

And then as you breathe,

Letting some of these words be in your mind.

I thank sun for its warmth,

Ripening the fruits of the earth.

I thank sun for its warmth.

I thank sun for its warmth.

Maybe bring to mind memories of the sun on your skin.

The welcome warmth if you're feeling cool.

The breeze if you're feeling warm.

I'm grateful to the sun for its warmth.

I bless the rain for quenching the soil and nourishing life.

I bless the waters of the earth.

Bring to mind the smell of soil after it just starts to rain.

You have a garden that perks up after a rain shower.

I bless rain for bringing moisture to the soil,

For nourishing life.

For the cleansing waters perhaps of a lake,

Where you feed in a stream on a hot day.

I bless the water,

The rain,

Lakes,

Rivers,

Oceans for nourishing life.

And I thank these birds and all of the creatures in the sacred web of life.

Beings in the oceans,

In the lakes,

In the air,

Under the earth.

I am grateful for all of the animals and creatures of earth.

Notice your breath.

Let your body have ease.

See the earth shimmering with life.

Notice what comes to mind.

Berries glistening,

Leaves dancing in the breeze,

A sparkle of light on river,

On a lake or the ocean.

Earth is shimmering with life.

Look around if you're outdoors or can see the life around you.

Earth is shimmering with life in the summer.

Feel that in your body.

As I breathe out,

I extend a blessing to the earth,

The abundance of summer.

Let your body feel full and vibrant like the world around you.

The juiciness of life.

Breathing in,

I receive.

Breathing out,

I extend blessings.

And perhaps your mind is wandering a bit to the abundance in your own life that you've been noticing lately.

The beautiful colors of the flowers.

The greens of plants.

See the earth shimmering with life.

Your body is full and vibrant as the world around you.

Let your breath be full and nourishing.

As I breathe in,

I nourish my whole body.

As I breathe out,

I release,

I give thanks.

Your mind might bring up things that are less than ideal in your life right now.

We could let those thoughts be there without grabbing them.

As I breathe in,

I nourish my body.

I'm aware of the vibrancy of life.

I'm aware of the beauty of life in the summer.

The blessing of being able to take in a full in-breath if you can.

Of being able to enjoy the food that the earth offers.

The smell,

The taste,

The nourishment.

Turn inward again.

Place your hand on your heart if you like.

Attune with your body.

I bless my body.

It is part of this earth.

Letting those words resonate in your mind.

I bless my body.

It is part of this earth.

I bless my mind.

It's wisdom and light.

I bless my spirit,

My heart,

My kindness.

I appreciate and I'm grateful for knowing I am connected on this earth.

My body is part of this earth.

I am more than my body.

I am more than my thoughts.

I am grateful for knowing my spirit,

My deeper self.

Sending blessings outward into the world like sunlight.

May all beings be nourished by the abundance of this season.

May the fields,

The rivers,

The forests,

And all the creatures of the earth thrive.

May the harvest of this summer bring peace and joy to all.

Let the blessings flow.

Nourishing and receiving on the inhale.

Extending blessings and gratitude as you breathe out.

Just for now,

May I put aside everything that's difficult.

Let my heart,

My body,

My being be nourished and held.

Nourished by the abundance of this season.

The warm days and cool water and life is a bit easier often in the summer.

The plants on the earth.

Plants we use for food and medicines.

Forests,

The standing ones.

Rivers,

Creatures,

Waters,

Air.

May all be nourished by the abundance of the season.

May I enjoy the blessing of appreciating what I have.

The food offered so generously by earth,

Plants,

Animals.

May I appreciate what is offered,

What I receive.

And if you have a sense of smell and taste,

If you have a digestive system that can digest the foods of the earth,

May I remember what a blessing that is.

And then we return to feeling ourselves as part of the sacred web of life.

We are part of earth,

Air,

The water,

Fire,

Plants,

Trees.

We're interconnected.

Our bones like strong rock.

We are part of the sacred web of life.

And let yourself imagine or bring to your mind threads of golden light connecting you to every living thing.

These threads of golden light permeating your whole body and energy field.

Connecting you to the soil.

Let your awareness flow down into the earth.

From your feet through to the earth,

Bedrock,

Soil.

All of the creatures of the earth,

Of the soil.

Imagine the golden light,

The threads permeating your body,

Permeating the whole of the earth,

Joining us together.

And in the roots of the soil,

Up into the trees,

See and feel that golden thread as it moves out into the world around you,

Into the trees,

Up into the branches.

Where the leaves meet the golden sunshine.

Permeates the sap,

The water that runs up and down the trees,

Runs through all of the roots,

That vibrant life in the soil of earth.

And letting the golden light sparkle on the waters of the earth.

The waters of our body,

The waters of the lakes,

Rivers,

Creeks,

Dew resting on the plants.

Imagine these threads of golden light connecting us through the waters.

Let yourself feel that in your body.

Let yourself breathe that in through the air.

Now into your lungs,

Distributed through your whole body,

Head to toes.

The golden threads of the waters of the earth in our body.

And connecting us to all of the animals and creatures of earth.

The small,

The large,

The powerful,

The quick.

The ones who visit us in safety,

The ones that are shy.

Imagine these golden threads of light connecting all of the animals of earth,

Including our animal body.

Aware of your breath,

Breathing in,

I receive.

Breathing out,

I express gratitude,

Blessings.

From the soil and the earth and the trees and the plants,

Animals,

I bring my awareness up into the air.

To the birds that fly,

To the wind,

And up into the stars.

The whole of creation connected by these golden threads of life.

Knowing I am held in abundance of this earth.

I am held in the abundance of this earth.

I am part of the great cycles of the sacred web of life.

I am always connected.

I am always connected to life.

I am part of the sacred web of life on earth.

I give thanks,

My appreciation,

My gratitude.

I rest in the blessings of life.

Simply resting in the fullness of the summer,

The kindness of our hearts,

The unity of all things.

The golden threads of interconnection rest in this abundance.

Notice your breath,

You might place your hand on your belly,

On your chest,

Feel a movement of your body with your breath.

Air moving in and out of your nostrils.

And whisper softly to yourself,

I am grateful.

I am whole.

I am home.

Let your breath deepen,

Your body be soft and relaxed.

I am grateful.

I breathe in the blessings of earth.

I breathe out the blessings to all beings.

I am whole.

I am part of this great cycle,

The sacred web of life.

And sense again into earth below your feet.

The air from the trees,

The plants as it comes into your body,

Nourishing you with its oxygen.

Food nourishes our body.

The blessing of what we create with our hands,

Whether that's food or art or a hug.

You're part of this great cycle.

Breathing in,

We receive,

Breathing out,

We bless,

We give thanks.

One of the wonderful things about doing a practice is that we can bring this into all of the other moments of our life.

When we have these deep experiences of breathing in this abundance and breathing out the blessings of our own good heart,

Of the nourishment that we receive and that we send out to blessing other beings.

And knowing that we are part of earth,

We're not separate.

We can rest in this connection.

There's so much beautiful abundance in our world.

And it's really lovely to put our attention there for a while and to let ourselves be nourished by that experience.

Thank you.
