Hello,
My name is Kala and this is a simple and quick guided meditation to help you to cultivate concentration and focus and it may be useful while studying or while doing a task that requires your undivided attention.
Find for yourself a comfortable seat in your favourite meditation posture or if you prefer you can lie flat upon your back,
However I'm going to recommend seated as the preference for focus.
And as you breathe in,
Begin to elongate and straighten your spine,
Feeling the air coming into your lungs,
Expanding your stomach and following the breath as it releases out of your nose,
Cultivating your focus and attention upon that divine flow,
Following the breath on its way in,
Into the lungs,
Into the stomach,
Expanding and following it out,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Inhale,
Exhale and begin to bring your eyes into a fixed focus at the horizon line directly in front of you.
You can do this with your eyes closed but if you are in a serene place and you feel to have your eyes open then you may keep your eyes open.
Do not strain the eyes as you look forward at the horizon line,
Just allow them to become still and relaxed in this position.
And bring your focus back to your breath and we shall begin to count the breath to the count of five.
Inhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
Inhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
Continue counting at your own pace,
Checking in that your eyes are still fixed upon the horizon line directly in front of you,
Beginning to notice that this eye position has an effect upon your mind and it makes you hyper alert,
Hyper focused and bringing that divine focus to counting your breath.
Remember to keep the eyes focused,
The spine straight and the focus upon the breath.
And now it is time for you to come back into consciousness,
Back into the space and to bring that cultivated divine focus to your work,
Whatever you need to focus on.
Wishing you a beautiful expression with love.
