How in tune are you with your intuitive wisdom? And how connected do you feel to Nature? In today’s 5 Minutes in Nature, Liz reflects on a recent talk about her pilgrimage across the UK. During her journey, she used maps to guide her path, but she also leaned into her intuition and inner wisdom. Along the way, she experienced a profound connection with the natural world. As you listen, take a moment to reflect: how are wisdom and intuition showing up in your own life?

Hello and welcome to five minutes in nature with me Liz Scott and I've come down into the village I live in to the cemetery and the cemetery here is just a grassy area it's called the cemetery and years and years ago people were were buried here but unfortunately there are no grave markers but we keep this and still respect the ground here for those that were buried here and it's become the village's wildflower meadow it's a piece of area that we allow the grasses to grow tall in the summer months and then there's a couple of people that come down and scythe the grass to sort of mimic what would happen in nature with the herbivores coming through and eating the grass and just allowing new things to to reemerge and take form each year it's a it's one of my favorite places I absolutely love it here I wanted to share with you today a talk I gave about the pilgrimage I went on oh gosh those crows are very noisy aren't they the pilgrimage that I went on I gave a talk earlier in the week and there were 20 people that came along to my friend's front room and they were all squashed around on chairs and I shared about the pilgrimage many of the people that came along were also interested in the inside out understanding the three principles everything I'm involved with is based on the inside out understanding and the pilgrimage was too and there were three particular areas I wanted to share with people I just want to share them with you here one was around intuition and wisdom one was about the land the landscape and nature and the third area was about older women so wisdom and intuition the land and nature and the wisdom of older women wise older women intuition and wisdom for me is a direct link back to the inside out understanding in a world where thought has been trained and cultivated and we admire people who conceptualize and are academic and clever and can use thought and their minds like razor-sharp implement we've come to really see thinking and thought is super helpful in the world and it is what we haven't realized is what we've missed out on is the deeper intuitive wisdom that is the birthright of absolutely everybody on the planet and for me walking the pilgrimage was a practice of listening to intuition and wisdom I walked the pilgrimage day in day out for seven weeks following energy currents across the English landscape and I walked the pilgrimage being guided by my intuition and wisdom it nudged me along the way and for me that's become a really great metaphor for the rest of my life is that sense of being nudged being nudged along the way with my intuition and wisdom and I see it as central it's a place to put my awareness I've given a lot of time to my intellect and it's a great thing I'm not knocking my intellect but for me now to give balance to my life it's about giving attention and awareness to the deeper intelligence of life my wisdom and intuition so that was the first thing I talked about in the pilgrimage the second thing was about the landscape and nature as I walked and my thinking settled and my mind became more present to the landscape I deeply deeply felt the land the connection with the land as if it were talking to me and there were times it did feel as though it was quite literally talking to me and I could hear words and there are other times where I could just feel it so for me this connection to nature and the landscape is linked into intuition and wisdom it's looking at another way of engagement with the world the land is not something to be used it's something to be in relationship with and there's something about relationship and balance and acknowledgement that also links into the third area that I talked about which is the wisdom of older women now I am going to talk more about that tomorrow because I want to give that a little bit of time but I just hope today you've got a flavor of some of the things that feel really important for me in my life at the moment around intuition wisdom and nature and tomorrow I'll tell you a little bit more about the wisdom of older women

Excellent as always. It feels so natural and effortless , the way you speak, and this makes it really easy to feel every word. If this was a 30 minute radio show I would tune in every time! Thank you EDIT ...just read your 'about ' info and find out you were once a BBC reporter. That makes perfect sense x
