Hey there,
My name is Lisa,
And welcome to this meditation designed to help you notice,
Nurture,
And navigate your emotions.
This meditation was recorded in July,
Specifically during the zodiac sign of cancer season.
And this is a really beautiful time to turn inward and explore our emotional world because if the zodiac wheel begins at Aries,
Which is about action,
Taurus,
Which is about stability and enjoying the journey,
Gemini about learning,
Communication,
And adaptability,
The zodiac sign of Cancer is the first time we get to really dive on in to our emotions.
But of course,
This meditation can support you at any time of the year.
Emotions were purely designed for our growth and survival in human evolution.
Fear says something feels unsafe.
Sadness says something mattered.
Anger means a boundary was crossed,
Or something feels wrong,
Or unfair,
Unjust.
Joy says move towards this.
And shame says you could lose connection.
Emotions are not only a part of what makes us human,
They're a part of what makes us better humans.
It's what draws us to information about ourselves and the world around us.
And there is nothing ironically and emotionally to feel ashamed about,
Or to want to bury,
Or sometimes want to completely use the emotions as a reason for action or logic.
Emotions are very much like the ocean.
There are stormy days,
Clear days,
Shallow days,
Deep days.
But all along we're just trying our best to be seafarers and navigate the tides.
So I invite you to come into your comfortable position,
Whatever that is for you today,
Whether it be seated,
Lying down,
Maybe something in between.
And I invite you to shift your perspective into noticing your breath.
Breathing naturally,
Without fear or trying to manipulate the breath in any way,
Simply being.
And noticing your breath like you are watching the tides rise.
And fall.
Maybe inhaling.
And exhaling.
Naturally.
And I invite you to ask yourself.
How am I feeling today?
Emotionally.
Or at this present moment.
And if those emotions live somewhere in the body.
Where do the emotions live?
Where do you feel them?
And know that though These emotions deserve to be heard,
To be validated,
To be seen.
Emotions don't need to make decisions.
They just make us aware.
So if an emotion feels all-consuming,
Know that you can feel it.
Without harming,
Hurting,
Or making any decisions towards yourself or others.
Simply feel.
What color are these emotions?
What texture?
Or what season would they emulate?
What element?
Maybe fire,
Ice,
Or fog,
Or sludge,
Or ether?
But notice them and where they reside in the body.
Knowing that you are.
So safe to do so.
As we close the noticing aspect.
Let's dive into nurturing.
What does this emotion need to hear?
Or need from me.
How does this emotion truly need to be validated?
In a way that is safe.
And honest.
And loving.
And maybe you can say what those emotions desperately need to hear.
It could be you're safe.
You're not alone.
I see you.
I love you.
Whatever it is.
That really resonates with you.
And know that you don't have to hide these emotions or bury them,
Or be buried with them.
Or feel like you are alone.
Even as I record this meditation,
I am feeling tender.
So know that you are not alone,
Even in this moment.
And last,
But certainly not least.
.
.
Let us navigate.
What's one small step I can take for myself from here?
And let that step be steeped in compassion.
From that space,
Feel free to set an intention based on what's that one small step you can take from here.
And know that you are worthy of connection and compassion.
You don't have to carry these emotions in isolation.
You don't have to drown in them either,
Or bury them.
You are worthy of being seen and being heard,
And these emotions are valid.
So allow yourself to blossom from them,
To unfold.
And allow your end day to unfold and blossom with you from a space of compassion and self-love.
With that intention set.
I thank you so much for joining me today.
May this three-step practice serve you for whenever you need it,
And when emotions come up,
Always remember You don't need to bury them,
Hide them,
Or be consumed by them.
Feel free to notice,
To nurture.
And most importantly,
Navigate from that space.
With all my love and gratitude,
Thank you so much for joining me my friend.
Until next time,
Namaste.
