This is a meditation for not taking things personally.
When it comes to our lifestyle,
Our vision,
Dreams,
And goals,
We sometimes have such clear vision and desire.
We may feel on top of the world with how we are living,
Who we choose to love,
Our career,
And what we want to do with our lives.
Then someone may come and give an opinion,
Knocking out our vision,
Our clarity,
Our hard work,
Happiness,
And balance.
We may question ourselves because of others' opinions,
Or even worse,
Be hooked on the drug of other people's approval.
This meditation is meant to help you create clear boundaries with yourself as well as help you practice the art of not taking things personally.
So with that,
Let's come to a comfortable seated position.
Take a nice big deep inhale into the body,
Sighing out.
Two more times,
Inhale and exhale.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Just continue to breathe naturally at your own pace with your own quality of breath.
Recognizing that nothing else matters at this moment,
Just you,
Your breath,
And the guidance from this meditation.
Let the breath guide you into a deeper state of relaxation,
Of calm,
Of connection to who you are.
And begin to visualize yourself in your favorite place in nature.
This place is a beautiful,
Safe place,
And it could be absolutely anywhere.
And if you have a challenging time visualizing this place,
Can you remember a time where you were one in nature?
Can you remember the feelings?
Can you embody the words?
Breathe in and sigh out.
Can you begin to think of or maybe even visualize the trees,
The animals,
Birds,
And life within this space of nature?
Take a moment to notice every individual bit of life within this space.
Notice how the trees have a different perspective than the animal.
Notice how every grain of earth has a different perspective than the insects and the life living and growing from it.
Though we are all connected,
We are all individual within our perspective and our human experience,
Our life experience.
And just take a moment to breathe into that wisdom and repeat this affirmation after me.
Every bit of life lives its own experience.
Every life has its own perspective.
No creature on this earth knows me more than I do.
I choose my own happiness over pleasing others.
My mistakes do not define me.
I am proud of my achievements,
Seemingly big or small.
I release the need for outside validation.
I release expectations on how others should act.
I stand up for myself without letting the words of others control my day or life.
There is freedom in releasing others' opinions.
I easily meet others where they are at.
I choose to focus my attention on my happiness.
Breathe in and sigh out.
Take a moment to reflect that everything outside of you,
Every living creature,
Wounded,
Healed,
Or new to this earth,
Has a perspective that has nothing to do with the life you lead.
Begin to visualize or feel a warm,
Bright light being drawn around you like a shield,
Making a clear definition between your life,
Perspective,
And that which is all around you.
Find an intention for yourself from this place of a strong,
Clear boundary.
To choose to focus your attention on your own personal happiness journey and success,
Recognizing that where our attention goes,
Our energy flows.
Let this energy water the seeds of your intentions and your own personal life journey.
Stay clear and focused on your happiness,
My friends.
Good luck and Namaste.
