When we are on a wellness journey,
There are days when making the healthier choice can be a challenge.
Perhaps you are just starting out on your wellness journey or you're well along your way but you have a big celebration coming up,
A birthday or an event,
Or it could just be a Tuesday.
No matter the day,
Deciding to have the healthier option and make the healthier choice can sometimes feel impossible.
So this meditation is for anybody that just needs a little help today.
Making the healthy choice and knowing that it's the next right step in the direction of your goals and no matter what you are doing the best thing for yourself by putting your health first.
So taking a moment to celebrate that and be in this moment right now is the best first step.
So let's take a long slow deep breath in and on the exhale close your eyes.
Continuing to breathe in and out naturally.
Just ground yourself in this moment and as you breathe in and out just focus your attention on your belly right now.
Breathing in and out noticing the rise and fall as you inhale and you exhale.
Letting go of any pressure,
Any expectations,
Just being here in this moment.
Now notice how you're feeling today without any judgment.
Just notice how you feel,
How you feel physically,
In your body,
And where you're at mentally.
And no matter where you are with no judgment just noticing,
Just noticing where you are and just breathing into that.
Let's take a moment right now to think about the why.
Why you are choosing to go on a wellness journey?
Why you are choosing to put yourself and your health first?
What made you want to start?
How do you want to feel?
What's your ultimate goal?
Because understanding your why will help you keep making those positive choices.
Small steps lead to big success.
So this isn't a time to feel overwhelmed with the ending but to be present in this moment and the choices that you are going to make today.
Regardless of where you're at maybe you're feeling overwhelmed or discouraged or perhaps you're celebrating an achievement and you want to continue that momentum.
No matter where you are just take a moment to let go of any expectations and to inhale positivity and exhale any negative self-talk,
Any doubt.
Inhale the pride in yourself that you're putting forward.
The fact that you are putting yourself and your health first.
Feel proud of that.
Let go of any past stumbling blocks because we are moving forward.
Think about your day ahead and all that is to come.
Knowing that you want to make healthy choices let's take the time to build your day incorporating all of that within.
Visualize yourself at breakfast.
What's on your plate?
Now silently repeat,
My health is important.
Carrying on with your day.
See yourself moving more,
Standing up more,
Perhaps stretching.
Just taking more small breaks throughout the day and really picture what that feels like for you.
Moving your body feels not only physically but mentally.
Now it's time for lunch.
What does that plate look like?
Be realistic with what you have and what is enough to nourish you.
Get excited about it.
Now repeat silently,
Is important.
As your day continues see yourself smiling as you're working.
Smiling at the people around you,
Those you're interacting with.
Smiling at all of your accomplishments.
Smiling knowing that you are choosing to live your best life.
And as you are visualizing this now,
Physically smile and notice how your body lights up this simple gesture.
Feeling energized and fulfilled we go into the end of the day as we wind down and you're sitting down to dinner.
What did you make tonight?
What does your plate look like?
And going even further,
Are you choosing to dine alone?
Are you choosing to eat with friends or family?
Just really picture yourself and what that meal looks like to you.
And as you're sitting down for that meal,
Reflect on all of the decisions that you made and that you're planning to make moving forward.
Feeling satisfied,
Fueled,
But also proud.
Hold on to that feeling because you have the power to make any choice in your day.
You have the power to fuel your body in any way you think is best for you.
Without judgment,
Without pressure.
Now silently repeat,
My health is important.
Let go of pressure and choose to live a healthy life my way.
I am excited to put my health first because my health is important.
Now take a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
And when you're done with this meditation,
Take a moment to journal and plan out your day based on what you visualized in this meditation.
Then you can feel confident knowing that you are in control of the decisions that you want to make for yourself and how you want to show up for you.
And remember,
Small steps lead to big successes and there is room for fun and to enjoy every moment of each day.
So let go of any pressure.
Live you want to live the healthy life you want to live your way.
