Good morning.
This meditation is going to help you set the intention for your day.
My hope is that you're doing this before your day has even started and you're still laying in bed,
Before the to-do lists,
And before anybody needs anything from you.
This is a great time for you to take a moment just for yourself.
So let's begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and on the exhale,
Close your eyes.
Now continue to breathe naturally and take a moment right now to just scan your body.
Any kinks from when you were sleeping the night before,
Just notice it,
Just see where you're at.
Breathe into anything that you need to in the moment,
Any tweaks that you might be feeling.
Inhale,
Let that go.
Let that go.
Let's begin by just having gratitude and saying thank you for this beautiful morning that's just begun.
This fresh start that we are about to end.
As you continue to breathe in and out,
Think of a word that represents how you want to be today.
It could be calm,
Focused,
Happy,
Gentle,
Whatever it is that embodies the feeling that you want to be today.
Now in your mind,
Imagine yourself feeling like your word.
What does that look like?
How does that look as you go throughout your day?
How do the people you encounter react to you as you embody this word?
Now you have your intention for your day.
You now know how you want to show up for yourself.
Taking this a little further,
Ask yourself,
How do I want to be this morning as I get ready for my day?
And visualize yourself setting up your perfect morning.
Now ask yourself,
How do I want to be when I show up at work?
How do I want to be when I'm surrounded by others?
What energy do I want to give off as I interact with people throughout my day?
If any challenging situation arrives today,
How do I want to handle that?
I show up.
And going back to that intention that you set for yourself this morning,
Take a deep breath and embody that word.
Plant that seed so you can feel that throughout your day and show up exactly how you want to.
You have the power to decide how your day goes.
You are setting the foundation for that day right now.
Now take a deep breath in and send that energy out.
On the next inhale,
Silently repeat,
I am.
And exhale,
Calm.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Present.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Ready for my day.
Now take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale out through your mouth.
Take another long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Filling up your lungs.
And let that go.
And now smile,
Knowing that you have your whole day ahead of you and that you have set your intention for how you want to be today.
Take another deep breath in.
Slowly bring yourself back to the room.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and start your day.
