Let's take a moment to release some stress and find calm.
To begin,
Find yourself in a comfortable position.
You can do this sitting,
You can lay down,
You can do this anywhere.
So let's take a nice long slow inhale in through the nose and on the exhale close your eyes.
Now slowly start to breathe in and out.
This is about finding your breath now.
Feeling the air moving in through your nostrils,
Filling in your lungs,
And then leaving your body.
We are allowing ourselves to connect with our bodies and release some of that pressure that we're feeling.
With each breath,
Imagine yourself becoming lighter and more relaxed.
Let go of any tension you might be holding in your body.
If you feel it in a particular place,
Notice it,
Take a deep breath in,
And then exhale and allow it to leave your body.
Relax your shoulders,
Unclench your jaw,
Tighten your hands,
And then exhale and release them.
Now gently through your nose,
Breathe in to the count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold and now through your nose,
Release one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Now through the mouth,
Breathe in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Hold.
Now with pursed lips,
Almost like you're exhaling through a straw,
Release one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Again in to the count of four through the nose,
Hold,
And release through the nose.
Now in through the mouth to the count of six,
Hold.
Now release through pursed lips.
One more time in through the nose,
Hold,
Release through the nose,
In through the mouth,
Hold,
And now through pursed lips release and feel those shoulders drop.
Now just breathe in naturally,
In through the nose and out through the nose,
And allow yourself to just notice all of the stress and all of the worry as you breathe in and out,
Leaving your body,
Acknowledging your thoughts and then gently allowing them to fade away and coming back to your breath.
Now take another nice long slow inhale in through the nose,
Sigh it out through the mouth,
And do that one more time in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And now just take a moment to appreciate the peace you've cultivated and the calm in just a brief moment.
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
And bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
And allow this sense of calm and relaxation to flow through you as you continue through your day.
Thank you for meditating with me.
