Time to dream of summer, so you won't miss a thing. This sleep meditation has fun facts about the sea life that we may not think about, as we explore summer on dry land, with it being so colourful this time of year. I wish you a fun dream as you connect to the magic of a few sea creatures that seem to have superpowers, like being able to glow or even change colour to blend into their environment. I hope it will deepen your love for all creation on earth with a smile that will send you to colourful dreams.

Welcome to this guided sleep meditation called Summer and the Sea.

Please jump onto bed and prepare your pillow.

Squeeze it fluffy for great dreams to begin.

And settle into bed now.

Close one eye for you and close the next eye for summer sea,

Lots of it.

Feel summer magic all around you.

And squeeze all your toes inwards.

Thinking the real magic of summer.

And the summer sea is so busy.

Relax now all the body.

Resting,

Super deep relax.

Yawn if you wish.

Time to dream of summer so you won't miss a thing.

Salute the sun of summer.

So bright,

So warm.

And the summer moon will be just as good.

The warmer temperatures have arrived.

And I hope you will,

Like me,

Look after nature and animals in your own way.

After dry spells comes the heavy rain.

It can be exciting if you can play to nature's song.

The patterns of summer weather.

A jet stream,

A ribbon of air.

High in the atmosphere.

Thunderstorms begin to roam.

But wonderful new animals are here in the summer shine.

Lots of baby chicks,

Fluffy and yellow.

Little ducklings too,

All in a line.

But what about what you can't see?

And that is in the sea.

And that is in the sea,

The ocean below.

Eyeball to eyeball looking at the summer sea.

Here begins leatherback turtles who get their name from their black leather shells and can raise their body temperature higher,

Allowing them to survive in colder waters.

Eating seagrass and jellyfish is what they do.

Also the basking sharks,

Known as the gentle giant of the sea.

Reaching eight meters long and only feeding mostly on plankton.

Remember sharks clean the oceans and are odour than dinosaurs.

Can you remember what a seahorse looks like?

The spiny seahorse,

Like magic,

Can change colour to match their environment.

The male seahorse fertilizes and looks after the eggs in a pouch.

Seahorse fry,

That are baby seahorses,

Eat an incredible 3,

000 pieces of food every day.

Think of the old saying,

As hungry as a horse.

Summer seaside and think of crabs.

The hermit crabs aren't actually hermits.

They dislike solitude and can live in colonies up to 100.

Happy crabs together.

Now sun stars are a type of starfish,

With 9 or 12 arms,

Which look like sun rays.

And if they lose one of them,

It can grow one back again,

Just like magic.

Breathe in the magic of the sea and blow out bubbles of air.

Sun stars are very hungry,

Yet they have no brain and no blood.

I guess there's plenty of room for crap.

Now the orca are the largest dolphin family and can live up to 90 years.

They are one of the most widespread animals on this planet.

The orcas communicate through a language of whistles,

Squeals,

Clicks,

Squeaks and even screams.

And always have their own language within their family group.

Now just above the summer sea,

The northern sea gannet.

And they dive from heights of 30 meters high from the sky to the sea.

Hitting the seawater at 60 miles per hour.

Fishing for fish,

And what an exciting way to be.

The bobtail squid,

Nicknamed dumpling squid,

Because they look like dumplings.

They use glowing bacteria within their bodies to camouflage themselves by the moonlight at night.

And then stay concealed in the sand during the day.

And lastly the barrel jellyfish,

Also called dustbin lid jellyfish.

They have a rubbery looking bell,

Which can be white,

Pink,

Blue or yellow.

And eight fake arms.

Now if you could have a most magical sleep.

And be something special.

In that summer sea,

Most of all feel how everything here seems to have superpowers.

So as you begin to dream,

Perhaps a warm body would help when things feel cool around you.

Or change your colour just to blend in.

A healthy appetite is good.

Can you curl up as you rest?

Please don't worry about losing a limb,

When you can grow one back again and again.

Live till 90 years of age,

Which is nearly 100.

And all those adventures to explore.

Fly dive 60 miles per hour in a sporty way.

And glow in the dark just like the moon.

Finally give yourself a hug with eight arms of love.

As you start to dream a little summer big.
