Happy new moon.
Find a place where you can sit down comfortably.
You want to make sure your back is straight,
So sitting against a wall or a chair helps do that.
You want your back straight,
But take any tension out of your body if you can.
Let your shoulders sink away from your ears.
Let your face relax.
Let your hands rest in your lap or on your knees.
And then you can either gently close your eyes or let your gaze drift to the floor and soften whichever is more comfortable for you.
And then begin to bring your attention to the center of your body,
To your belly,
Your ribs,
Your chest,
Your heart.
And as you bring awareness here,
See what comes up,
Any feelings or emotions or thoughts,
And you're just gently acknowledging them,
But not getting lost in anything.
And if any thoughts are super persistent,
You can just place them in a little bubble right outside of yourself,
Knowing that you can get back to them later.
You don't have to solve anything right now.
We're just trying to create that nice empty space in the center of our body.
And then once you have that nice openness in the center of your body,
You're going to take a deep inhale through the nose,
Into your belly,
And let your belly expand.
And then slowly exhale through the mouth,
Slowing down the exhale through pursed lips.
And then inhaling again deep into the belly,
And then slowly exhaling through pursed lips.
And you're going to begin to bring this breath into the belly and the heart as you inhale.
So you're inhaling into the belly,
Then you're letting that breath rise into the heart until your entire body is filled with air.
And then you're slowly,
Gently going to exhale.
Slowly slowing down that exhale,
And then taking another deep inhale,
Filling the belly,
Filling the heart until you're completely filled with air,
And then slowly,
Gently exhale.
Keeping your focus on that place inside,
Expanding your belly,
Your heart,
Creating an inner space for yourself that is wide open,
And an exhale.
We're going to just do a little bit of coherence breathing.
So we're going to inhale for a count of six and exhale for a count of six.
As you're inhaling,
You're going to imagine the space inside of you growing bigger and more vast and open.
And as you exhale,
You're letting go of things that are stuck in the space that are keeping you from being open to new possibilities.
And we'll do a couple of rounds together,
I'll count you through it.
One,
Two,
Three.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five six.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Exhale two three four five six.
Inhale two three four five six.
Exhale two three four five six.
Take a deep inhale and hold it.
You're gonna hold this breath for 15 seconds allowing that open space inside of you to expand,
Allowing yourself to float in its emptiness and its vastness,
Allowing yourself to be completely still here for three two one.
Slowly exhale and then take another deep inhale and we're holding it again,
Allowing ourselves to explore the endless possibilities of emptiness,
Of space,
Of a dark sky,
Of a new moon.
For three two one,
Letting go of anything that's stuck,
Anything that's not yours as you gently exhale.
And one last deep inhale,
Holding on to this breath,
Exploring the stillness within you,
This new space,
The space to create,
To dream,
To set intentions.
For three two one,
Slowly exhale.
Then return to breathing into the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
And as you inhale,
I want you to inhale and think,
I can.
Exhale.
Inhale and say to yourself,
I will.
Hold it in you and exhale.
And you're gonna inhale and say to yourself,
I am.
Hold it and exhale.
You can,
You will,
You are.
Turning to breathing,
And as you're breathing,
Allow yourself to sit in this endlessness inside of you,
This openness,
As above so within,
Allowing for this new cycle,
To bring new growth,
Stillness,
Joy,
And creativity.
And you can stay in this place for as long as it feels good.
Happy new moon.
