Come into a position where you feel both comfortable and alert.

You could be lying down or in a reclined position,

Sitting upright or maybe you have your legs up the wall in an inversion.

Try not to get caught up in what you think a meditation pose should look like,

But allow your body to lead you to the right shape.

As you settle in,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze,

Beginning to take this journey inward.

Start with taking a few deep,

Slow breaths.

In through the nose and out through the nose.

Can you feel your body relax a little more with each exhale?

Visualize yourself standing in the middle of a peaceful meadow.

You can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and a gentle breeze blowing through the grass.

The sky is a beautiful blue color and there are a few fluffy white clouds overhead.

As you stand in this meadow,

Imagine a sense of peace and calm filling your body.

Allow this feeling of peace to grow and spread throughout your entire being.

Now imagine that peaceful energy you're feeling begin to radiate outwards from your body.

You can see it as a gentle glowing aura that surrounds you,

Filling the meadow with peace and calm.

As that peaceful energy continues to radiate outwards,

Imagine that it's spreading beyond the meadow,

Flowing out into the world.

Picture this energy spreading to your home,

Your community,

And beyond,

Creating a ripple effect of peace and calm.

Visualize people around the world feeling the effects of this peaceful energy and experiencing a sense of calm and serenity.

Allow the visualization to fade into the background as we begin to go deeper by considering the archetype,

The sword.

The sword indicates that it is time to decide.

There is no more room for hesitation.

This archetype requires a clear and decisive mind and a willingness to act.

The most compassionate gesture is one that is honest,

Swift,

And accurate.

Swing the sword once with precision and commitment.

More than that will be painful for everyone.

Turn your focus inward,

Asking yourself,

What action do I need to take?

Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think,

Paying attention to anything that comes up.

What action do I need to take?

Even though our deep listening question was inspired by archetypes,

You don't need to believe in archetypes for the question to be valid.

The point is that you are practicing hearing and listening to your inner wisdom.

As you practice,

You might get a sense or a feeling of a message.

Or you might have a knowing of what the message is.

Or maybe you heard a message.

You may not have gotten anything or something could even come up later.

There is no wrong experience.

Listen to the following affirmation,

Allowing it to resonate deep within.

I am capable,

Determined,

And committed to taking action and creating the life I desire.

I am capable,

Determined,

And committed to taking action and creating the life I desire.

As we reach the end of today's practice,

Bring your palms together at heart center,

Slightly bowing your head.

Take a moment to reflect on your experience.

Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?

Did you practice listening and being open?

Allowing this experience and any insights that you've gained to stay with you.

Bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Take your time and when you're ready,

Open your eyes and allow your body any movement that it needs.
