Come into a position where you feel both comfortable and alert.
This could be lying down,
You could be in a reclined position,
You can sit upright,
Or maybe you have your legs up the wall in an aversion.
Tune in to your body and see if you can tell what it needs today.
As you settle in,
Close your eyes or soften your gaze and begin to take this journey inward.
Start with taking a few deep,
Slow breaths in through the nose and out through the nose.
Allow your body to relax a little more with every exhale.
Imagine yourself walking down a quiet lane.
The weather is perfect and you're enjoying the steady rhythm of your footsteps as you move along at an easy,
Comfortable pace.
You can smell the fresh fragrance of flowers on the gentle breeze.
There are tall,
Old trees along the lane and you're enjoying their shade and the soft rustle of their leaves.
You come upon a field of waving grass and a small,
Meandering brook.
You notice there's a comfortable-looking,
Old wooden chair waiting under a tree by the brook and that's where you're headed.
As you walk towards the chair,
You take in the gentle movement of the grass,
The warmth of the sun,
And the ripples on the water's surface.
As you sit in the comfortable,
Old chair,
You feel a familiar sense of warmth and peace.
Allow this feeling to completely surround you.
Looking out over the peaceful setting,
You realize that you are in control of your mind and your body.
You can choose to release negative emotions and free up space in your heart and mind for positive things to come.
Take this time to release any worries,
Any disturbing thoughts,
Any sadness you may be feeling,
Let those feelings float up,
Out,
And away.
Whatever has happened that has bothered you,
It's time to let that go.
Now let's choose thoughts that make you feel good.
When you focus on the positive,
You get more positive experiences in your life.
Repeat these statements to yourself.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am perfect just the way I am.
I am perfect just the way I am.
I trust myself.
I trust myself.
Take the next few moments to repeat the phrases that I have shared,
Or create your own phrases that reflect what you need to hear in this moment.
Now take a deep breath and allow good feelings to fill up your heart and your mind,
Fostering a sense of joy that starts from deep within you.
Let's go deeper by considering the archetype,
The mentor.
The mentor archetype has a gift for reading the room and for sensing the exact ingredient that will stimulate growth within the student.
It's important that the mentor remembers they are in service of the greater cosmic good,
And they are there to aid in the elevation of consciousness.
They are not the source of enlightenment.
Turn your focus inward and ask yourself,
How can I seek out those who need mentoring?
Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think,
Paying attention to anything that comes up.
How can I seek out those who need mentoring?
As you practice listening to your inner wisdom,
You might get a sense or a feeling of a message.
Or you might have a knowing of what the message is,
Or maybe you even hear your message.
You may not have gotten anything,
Or something could come up later.
Take the next few breaths to process whatever you experienced.
Listen to the following affirmation,
Allowing it to resonate deep within.
I let others know they are important,
That they matter,
And they are valuable.
I let others know they are important,
That they matter,
And they are valuable.
I let others know they are important,
That they matter,
And they are valuable.
As we reach the end of today's practice,
Bring the palms together at heart center,
Slightly bowing your head.
Take a moment to reflect on your experience.
Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?
Did you practice listening and being open?
Allowing this experience and any insights that you have gained to stay with you,
Bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
Take your time,
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes,
And allow your body any movement that it needs.
