Settle into a position where you feel both comfortable and alert.

This could be a seated position,

You could be lying down or sitting up on a couch or propped up on your wall.

Choose whatever shape works for your body today.

As you settle in,

Close your eyes or soften the gaze,

Starting to take this journey inward.

Imagine a pillar of white light descending from the heavens,

Shining on you and bringing a complete sense of peace and relaxation to your physical,

Emotional,

Your mental self.

As this light lands on your head,

You feel the tension start to melt away,

Letting go of anything you're holding onto in the space between your eyebrows,

Unclenching your jaw,

Letting the shoulders release away from the ears.

And as that light travels down through your arms and to your fingertips,

Feeling a sense of relaxation.

The light continues to travel down your chest,

Your belly,

Into your hips and thighs,

Until it spreads all the way through the calves and ankles down to your toes and every place it touches,

Removing tension,

Releasing stress.

Take a moment to enjoy a feeling of peace and stillness.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Filling up the belly,

And on the exhale,

Open your mouth and let it out,

Feeling the shoulders drop away from your ears as you empty all the air from your stomach.

Now take a second deep breath in,

This time filling up belly and lungs,

Holding at the top,

Then open mouth,

Let it out.

Taking a third deep breath in,

Letting this be the fullest breath that you've taken,

Filling up the belly,

The lungs,

The chest,

Holding at the top,

Then open mouth,

Let all the air out.

Now keeping the lips zilled,

Start to breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.

Let's go deeper by considering a question that is inspired by the archetype Eros.

Archetypes are key images,

Tendencies,

Personalities that tend to appear in every culture throughout time.

Eros represents love as desire or sensuality.

Going deeper with this archetype leads us to consider the root of desire itself.

What do we long for?

Eros reconnects us with the primal longing to merge with the things we perceive to be outside ourselves,

Other humans,

Nature,

Music,

Art,

Plants,

Or even food.

Take this time to bring your focus in and ask yourself,

What do I desire?

Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think,

Just allowing any answers to come up from deep within.

What do I desire?

As you practice bypassing the thoughts and listening to your deeper wisdom,

You may notice that you don't always hear words.

Sometimes you get images,

Impressions,

Thoughts,

Or memories.

Anything could pop up,

And all of it could have meaning.

So take a few breaths to process what came up for you,

And consider if you want to act on anything that you learned.

Listen to the following affirmation,

Repeat it to yourself,

And let it resonate deep within.

I will witness beauty and truth in the world.

I will witness beauty and truth in the world.

As we reach the end of today's practice,

Bring the palms together at heart center,

Slightly bowing your head.

Take a moment to reflect on your experience.

Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?

Did you practice listening and being open?

Allow this experience and any insights that you may have gained to stay with you as you bring your awareness back to the physical surroundings,

Taking your time,

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes and allow your body any movement that it needs.
