Kernesa had been practicing yoga on and off for several years. During COVID, she decided to enroll in teacher training to expand her own practice. Upon graduation, and a focused training in meditation, she began to teach a meditation class. Kernesa's approach to meditation includes leveraging the breath to cultivate presence, using visualizations to build a sense of peace and calm, leveraging mindfulness to quiet the mind and then opening up the connection to listen to your inner wisdom.

I did hear from my inner wisdom: active listening with curiosity, reflecting back to the other person instead of just saying, "Gotcha." I do this when I feel unsure that I understand them, but it would be better to do it even when I think I understand, because I might be wrong, and because it helps them feel more seen & understood.

I finally had a meditation bring me to complete silence in my head. Practice is paying off, but this one was amazing to help me only focus on my breath- with the help of “labeling” inhale and exhale.

I love this series, and this meditation is no exception. The visualization of a safe space took me back to my childhood and the fields where the huge power lines crossed the hills behind our home. As a kid, my siblings & I took hikes through there many times, and imagining a cottage there for me was delightful. The deep listening question is timely, also, because my word of the year for '26 is Transition. I hadn't associated Judgement with leaving things behind, so that was surprising to me. I'll have to read up on the card some more, I see. Anyway, thank you so much for these meditations!

Beautiful. I recently learned about Kriya while reading about Paramahansa Yogananda, and I’m intrigued. It’s different than my TM, but similar in all the right ways.
