
Guided Meditation for Cleansing Unwanted Feelings & Negative Thinking
Imagine carrying a backpack uphill, full of heavy stones. Everyday. One day you find a way to let go of the backpack. Imagine how good that will feel.

Welcome,
Dear soul,
And thank you for being here.
I'm Kenneth Suarez and you are listening to Power Thoughts Meditation Club.
Allow yourself to relax now.
There's an old,
Old story about two monks that were on a pilgrimage.
One day,
On a warm and sunny day,
The air was fresh and clean.
They heard running water nearby,
And with each step the sound came closer and closer.
They came to the top of a hill,
And from there they could see it.
They went steadily down towards the deep,
Beautiful river.
And suddenly they noticed,
At the edge of the river,
A young woman sat weeping,
Because she was afraid to cross the river alone.
She begged the two monks to help her.
The younger monk turned his back.
For the members of their order,
It was forbidden to touch a woman.
But the older monk picked up the woman,
Went out of word,
And carried her across the river.
He put her down on the far side and continued his journey.
The younger monk came after him,
Scolding him and berating him for breaking his vows.
He went on his way for all day,
A long time.
Finally,
At the end of the day,
The older monk turned to the young one.
I let her go as soon as we crossed that river.
Why are you still carrying her?
I wonder now if you can imagine in your imagination that the air you are breathing comes in through your heels.
As you breathe in air through your heels,
As if you have nostrils on your heels.
And imagine the air circulating up your body to the top of your head and then down and out through your heels.
Keep circulating air,
Life power,
Life energy through your body as your conscious mind is noticing different parts of your body,
Relaxing.
Your unconscious mind goes deeper relaxed with each breath.
Imagine now that you are walking along a beautiful country lane and as you do so,
Make your surroundings as beautiful as you would like them to be.
See all the colors in this beautiful place,
The clear blue sky as it shines down around you.
Maybe there are sounds of nature,
Perhaps birdsong,
Leaves rustling in the trees or vegetation gently rippling in a pleasant,
Gentle,
Warm breeze.
As you are walking along this country lane,
Which represents your life,
Imagine that you are carrying a large heavy backpack on your back.
Notice the weight of this backpack,
Weighing you down,
Slowing you down as you try to walk freely along the lane of your life.
This pack contains all of your negative,
Unwanted feelings,
Emotions which you have been carrying around with you throughout your life from past negative events.
Feel the heaviness of the backpack weighing you down,
Perhaps even the straps of the backpack cutting into your shoulders as you move along.
You might even notice that as you turn around and look behind you,
You can see times on the country lane,
Times of your life,
When the weight of that backpack has brought you to your knees,
Stopping you from moving freely through your life with joy and ease.
Imagine that you reach the point on this country lane,
Which represents right now in your life,
And see how the side of the lane is an open gate,
Which leads into a beautiful meadow.
Step off the lane and walk through the open gate,
And see in the middle of the meadow stands a large,
Colorful,
Hot air balloon with a basket beneath.
Large ropes hold the balloon down.
Imagine walking over to the balloon,
And when you're next to the basket,
Drop your heavy backpack to the ground.
Hear the thump as it hits the ground and feel a sense of relief.
Open the backpack,
And then one by one,
Imagine taking out its contents,
Which represents your unwanted feelings,
And place them in the basket.
With each object that you put in the basket,
Feel a greater and greater sense of release,
And feel your negative feelings decreasing more and more.
Enjoy this process.
Take all the time that you need to empty the backpack now.
Just check around in the backpack.
Make sure there are no missed items.
If there are,
Put them in the basket.
Now that you've disposed of the items,
Become aware of a deep feeling of relief and peace inside you.
If you like,
You can throw the backpack into the basket as well.
Notice that the ropes holding the balloon and basket down are tied to stakes in the ground,
And the four ropes from each corner of the basket are tied so as to make a large bow on each stake.
So now,
Go to the first rope,
And imagine pulling the end of the rope in such a way that it pulls on the bow and releases the rope from the stake,
And see the basket lifts a little higher as the remaining three ropes take the strain.
Now go to the next rope,
And pull it and release it.
Notice how the basket bobs slightly,
And there may be some creaking from the two remaining ropes.
Now go to the next rope and release it,
And see the basket and balloon straining upwards on that one remaining rope.
Now go to the last rope and release it,
And see the balloon and basket shoot up into the sky,
Taking with them all of those old,
Unwanted feelings.
Perhaps you'd like to sit on the comfortable,
Warm,
Soft grass and watch the balloon and basket floating away.
Watch them going higher and higher,
Being taken further and further away into the distance by the wind currents.
As they become smaller and smaller,
Notice a growing feeling of calmness inside you.
Really enjoy that feeling of being free from those unwanted feelings.
Imagine that balloon now getting further and further away from you,
Becoming smaller and smaller.
Finally,
It becomes so small that it's the size of a pinhead,
Before it finally disappears over the horizon,
Never to return.
Safe and free.
Now,
In your imagination,
As you sit on the warm grass in this meadow,
Look around and notice behind you a woodland.
And you can see a path which seems to beckon you.
So you stand up,
Dust down your clothes and walk over to this path.
As you walk on this path through the trees,
You feel yourself walking effortlessly,
Looking at the sun as it shines down through the leaves on the branches.
And you can become aware of the cleanliness of the air that you breathe.
Become aware of the purity of the oxygen that is going into your lungs.
And you can feel yourself breathing deeply and freely into your body.
Each pleasant breath that you take helps you to feel even more deeply relaxed and calm.
Imagine that the path moves gently upwards through the trees and you walk easily up it.
And then the path opens out into a clearing in the woodland.
In the center of the clearing stands a temple,
A temple of silence.
Walk across the clearing to the temple of silence.
And as you do so,
Notice how peaceful,
How quiet this place is.
An ageless stillness pervades the atmosphere,
For no word has ever been uttered here.
The whole place exudes tranquility and peace.
Walk into the temple and as you do so,
Feel yourself surrounded by silence.
Feel the atmosphere of peace and stillness around you.
Walk forward into the silence,
Looking about you as you go.
In the very center of the temple,
You see a large luminous dome above you.
A vast orb of light,
Whose luminosity not only comes from the rays of the sun,
But also seems to spring from within.
From this orb of light,
You can see light energy shining down,
Concentrated in an area of radiance just in front of you.
Imagine now that you enter this radiant light energy and feel yourself becoming absorbed by it.
Feel the beams of the beneficial,
Warm,
Healing light energy pouring down around you,
Enveloping you,
Filling you with a luminous silence and quietness.
Which flows through your veins,
Permeating every cell in your body.
Feel every atom,
Every molecule of your body,
Mind and spirit being healed and filled with this healing light energy.
Remain in this luminous silence,
Allowing yourself to be healed by this light energy.
Becoming very aware of that deep sense of peacefulness inside you as you do so.
I'll leave you in silence for a few moments now,
In healing and peace.
I want you to know now that this temple is in the very center of your being and can never be touched or affected by anything that happens on the outside of you.
It's always been there,
This place of perfect silence and peace.
And from this day on,
You're going to become more and more aware of this feeling of calmness and ease inside you.
This feeling of calmness is going to grow more and more each day,
Becoming stronger and stronger.
Allowing you to feel calm and at ease with yourself and the world,
No matter what's happening in your life.
This perfect peace and calmness can always be reactivated at any time,
Simply by thinking about this temple in the center of your being.
And as you do this,
These good feelings of calmness will spread through and around your body and mind,
Allowing you to feel at peace no matter what you are doing.
Always in peace.
Allow yourself now for a few moments to absorb all of that healing energy.
Bathe in it,
Shower in it,
Let it fill you up more and more.
And you're doing good.
So when you are ready now,
You can begin to slowly leave that area of radiance and walk back through the temple,
Very aware of the feelings of stillness inside you.
If you wish to,
You can leave a gift before you leave,
Perhaps a symbolic of the healing that you received here,
A gift that is your way of saying thank you for the healing.
Now,
Begin to leave the temple and walk back across the clearing,
Through the woods,
Feeling as if you're floating on air.
Walk back through the path,
Through the trees and back into the meadow,
Feeling deeply relaxed.
Walk back onto the lane of your life and walk into the future,
Noticing a sense of freedom and lightness as you do so,
With the inner knowing that you're safe.
And whenever you need to,
You can visit the temple of silence.
And the more you listen to these words,
To my voice,
The more and deeper healing,
Peace and freedom you will feel.
You are worthy,
You are valuable,
You are important,
You deserve all good things in life.
Thank you for being you and thank you for being here.
I'm going to count from one to five now.
When I come to five,
You can open up your eyes,
Fully aware of your body,
Fully aware of here and now,
Fully awake.
One,
Your subconscious mind can continue processing all the positive changes going on,
On the deeper,
Deeper part of you.
Two and three,
More aware of here and now,
More and more back to here and now.
Imagine a smile running through your body now.
Four,
Ready to come back to here and now,
Energized and peace,
Feeling good.
Five,
Take care of yourself.
