Just take a moment to really get comfortable in your body.
Make any last little shifts or adjustments.
And just know that what's going on right now is a lot.
Postpartum is a lot.
There's a lot happening in your body and your hormones.
And you're caring for your little one.
Your body might be keeping two bodies alive at once and you're probably not sleeping.
So if you're feeling anxious,
That makes sense.
Know that it's perfectly okay to feel however you're feeling.
But together,
We're going to work to turn the volume down on that anxiety even just a little bit.
And then when you're ready.
Take a slow but deep breath in.
And then let it all out.
Again,
Big inhale.
And exhale,
Letting it all go.
Shoulders softening and dropping.
And then one last big breath,
Inhaling slowly.
And exhaling,
Softening the jaw and the fingers,
Letting the belly be soft.
And just notice your breath.
Don't change it or force it.
But just notice it.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Noticing how your breath feels today.
Noticing where the breath goes in your body.
And if it has a certain texture.
Or a feel to the breath.
And now check in with your body.
Where do you feel your anxiety?
Maybe it's in your chest or your stomach.
Your throat.
Just notice it.
And if it feels good,
You can take one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
Feeling the weight of your hands.
And being here with the weight and the warmth of your hand.
And feel the presence of your hands on your body.
Allowing the subtle weight to bring you back into this moment and into your body.
Allowing your breath to be low and slow and deep.
And as you breathe.
Imagining that on the exhale.
Your mind slows down even just 1%.
Inhaling,
Bringing the breath in and exhaling.
The mind,
The racing thoughts slows down even 1% more.
Continuing to breathe.
In every exhale.
Your mind slows down just a little bit more.
Your anxiety softens just a little bit more.
All that exists in this moment is your breath.
The weight of your hands on your body.
In this moment.
Breathing,
You and your baby together.
And remind yourself.
Right now,
You're okay.
Everyone is safe.
And in this moment,
All is well.
Let whatever is good and peaceful in this moment just exist.
Don't leap into future thoughts or past worries.
Just be here with your breath and your body.
And remember.
Everyone is safe.
And in this moment,
All is well.
And now tell yourself.
I don't need to figure everything out right now.
I can take this one moment at a time.
My body is allowed to feel this.
And I'm okay.
Now take a big deep breath in.
And a long breath out.
And imagine that as you breathe out,
That anxiety is being released like a pressure valve from your body.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale and exhale reliefs.
In this moment,
Everyone is safe.
All is well.
Let this peaceful moment just exist.
Now taking a big deep breath in.
And Tao.
Beginning to return to the here and now.
Reawakening your body.
In closing your meditation practice.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
