Beginning our practice with a few rounds of alternate nostril breathing.
We're doing this to open up the mind and to activate that focus and concentration.
So to do this,
You will take your right hand,
You'll be using your middle finger and your thumb or your ring finger and your thumb up to you to alternate the nostrils that you breathe in and out of.
So we'll begin first by exhaling all of the air out of our lungs through both nostrils.
And inhaling fully,
Open mouth exhale,
Let it go.
And then taking your right hand with your ring finger,
Plugging your left nostril and inhaling through the right.
And plugging the right nostril,
Opening the left,
Exhale through the left nostril.
And inhale through the left nostril.
Plug the left nostril and exhale through the right.
We'll do that again.
And inhale through the right.
Plug the right,
Exhale through the left.
Inhale through the left.
Close the left and exhale through the right.
One more inhale through the right.
Close the right,
Exhale through the left.
Inhale through the left.
Close the left and exhale through the right.
Releasing your hand and breathing equally through both nostrils.
And now we begin our affirmations.
I'll say one aloud and you can repeat it to yourself silently or out loud three times.
I begin this day with clarity,
Focus and motivation.
I am capable,
Organized and grounded.
My time and energy are valuable and I use them wisely.
I release procrastination and embrace inspiration.
I stay present with each task one step at a time.
Every step of progress builds to great things.
Flow state comes easily to me.
Productivity fills every moment of my day today.
I am focused,
Motivated and driven.
And now take a big deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Bringing your awareness back to the room,
Back to your body.
Now open your eyes and have a wonderful and productive day.
