We'll begin by taking a moment to settle into a comfortable position.
Taking a moment to settle in wherever you're meditating today.
Maybe you're still in bed,
Maybe you're seated or perhaps you're sitting outside or by a window.
There's no right way to be here,
But just arrive in this moment as you are.
And take a moment to acknowledge the gift of another day.
Another day on earth,
Another day of life,
And an opportunity to experience what the universe has in store for you.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Unclench your jaw.
Let your breath move naturally in and out of your body.
Maybe taking one slow deep breath in through your nose and releasing it through your mouth.
Letting the body ground down right where it is.
Feel the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
Let your breath return to an easy natural rhythm.
Knowing that there is nothing to fix,
There's nothing to change,
There's nothing to do.
And as you breathe,
Notice the fresh new morning air that's being brought into your lungs,
And the natural softening of your body and your thoughts as you breathe out.
Inhale that new morning air and exhale a natural softening.
This morning,
This moment,
It's already something special.
Not because it needs to be extraordinary,
But because it's real.
And you'll only have this moment the one time,
Right now and right here.
Begin to notice the sensations of the morning around you.
Notice if the light is soft or strong,
Or maybe it's still dark out.
Listen to the sounds of the day beginning.
The way the air feels against your skin.
Just notice how you're feeling in this moment.
If you let it,
There can be a certain kind of magic in these early moments.
A sense of possibility before the day takes shape.
A sense that anything could happen,
And that even these small moments can have some magic to it.
With every inhale,
Gently invite yourself into this present moment.
With each exhale,
Release any pressure to perform,
Or hurry,
Or to be on right away.
Just linger here,
Moment by moment,
Breath by breath.
Feel the magic of this morning.
And now bring your awareness inward.
Focus on the space behind your eyes.
The steady rhythm of your breath.
And let your attention now focus on the center of your chest.
Where you feel a light activation here.
A little bit of warmth.
Maybe a softening.
Focus on this space as a gentle reminder that you are connected to yourself,
To this moment,
And to something larger than today's to-do list.
Let this awareness be a reminder that you are part of a living,
Breathing world.
That you are here for a reason.
And as you focus on your heart center,
Tell yourself,
I am here,
I am present,
I welcome in a beautiful new day.
This is the magic of the morning.
The opportunity to witness the day beginning,
And to welcome in a beautiful new day.
And now bring to mind one simple intention for the day ahead.
Not a goal to achieve,
But just a way of being and showing up today.
Perhaps it's patience,
Or kindness,
Trust,
Care.
It can be anything.
But allow that intention to feel light.
Like something you can just carry in your pocket with you throughout your day.
Maybe tell yourself,
Today I choose to move through my day with,
And then state your intention.
And allow that intention to sit with you,
And plant a seed that will grow throughout the rest of your day.
And now ending our time together by taking a moment to acknowledge yourself.
For showing up,
For choosing to begin your day with presence and mindfulness.
And for allowing yourself to see the good and the magic in the morning.
Know that you are allowed to experience moments of peace,
And clarity,
And connection,
Just by being here and being who you are.
