Good evening beautiful,
Thank you for joining me here tonight for a sleep meditation.
Close your eyes and gently return to your breath,
Let it come and go in its own rhythm,
Just the soft tide of your being,
Moving in and moving out,
Feel your body resting beneath you,
Supported by the earth,
Held by the night,
Let your shoulders fall,
Your jaw unclench,
Your lower back release,
And your belly soften,
Imagine there's a spool of thread at the center of your chest,
Tightly wound from the day,
From all those thoughts,
All that doing,
All that effort.
With each gentle breath,
Watch as the thread turns,
Slowly and sweetly it unravels,
One soft pull,
And something inside of you loosens,
A thought you've been holding,
A moment you keep replaying,
A worry you're holding on to,
Feel it unwind,
Another breath,
Another spin of the spool,
The tension around your ribs melts,
The tightness in your throat softens,
The little knots of emotions so carefully held ease and open,
Let the spool keep turning,
Thread by thread releases,
Worry by worry,
Let it all unravel,
There is nothing to hold together now,
You are safe to fall apart,
To soften,
The thread keeps moving,
Gentle and true,
Spinning out stories,
Spinning out expectations,
Spinning out all the pieces of you that worked so hard to stay together today,
Let the unraveling be kind,
Let it be sacred,
Let it be enough,
When the spool is empty,
When your heart is no longer tangled,
You feel the quiet,
The softness underneath the holding,
You feel peace,
Let your breath carry you into sleep,
Let your body lie still and light and open,
The day has released you,
The thread has loosened,
And all that remains is this,
A quiet you,
A peaceful you.
Namaste,
Beautiful.
