Today's talk was inspired by my neighbor.

It's about how we are always creating our own reality.

And when we're in a negative state,

When we're expecting things to go wrong,

They do.

When we're expecting things to just work out,

They do.

And,

You know,

We're just not told how much power we have.

And I hope that changes.

I hope it becomes more normal that we receive the truth of how things actually work here on Earth and how powerful our energy is and our thoughts and our words and all these things that really do create our experience.

It's nothing from outside of us.

It all comes from inside of us.

And so the incident that happened today that I thought was so interesting,

And as you start to realize these things and how much power you possess and you see these things becoming true,

You get examples of them in your life and you can really identify people who are stuck in the negative and who are just in their own way all the time.

And,

You know,

You can start to see that really clearly and it almost becomes comical in a way because you just see how true it is.

So the thing that happened today that I thought was so funny is I had this plumber come out to do work on my house,

Which even I was trying not to be worried about because they were telling me it was going to take about three days and I have a dog and I was worried about what I'm going to do with her if I've got these people in my house.

And then I was like,

It's okay.

I don't have to worry about this.

What I believe is that when I let go of things,

When I choose not to worry about them and I turn them over to what I like to call like my universal secretary and I have faith that things will just work out because I don't really want to figure them out,

Nor do I have time to,

Nor do I like have the ability to do that.

You know,

I've been trying to figure shit out my whole life and it sucks and it never works.

So I just turned it over to the universe because I believe that it knows more than I do.

And I believe in a loving intelligence that controls nature and makes the grass grow and makes trees grow and communicate with each other.

And I don't know how that works,

But I believe it.

I see it in front of me.

So I know that it's possible that that same energy can help me in my life.

I know that there's something there,

Something greater than myself.

And so I turn over to that when I start to feel overwhelmed or confused or not sure how something is going to work out and I have,

Um,

You know,

That need to try to figure it out.

I just say,

Nevermind.

I'm just going to turn it over.

I'm not going to worry about it.

I know that if I believe it's going to work out okay,

It's just going to work out okay.

The solution will just present itself as long as I don't try to meddle in it.

And it always does.

And it works out beautifully.

So much better than I could have ever orchestrated myself.

And so back to this example,

Sorry for the digression.

Um,

Back to the example today.

So I did just that with the plumber situation.

I surrendered and then I came to realize that they're probably not even going to be inside the house.

Everything that they're doing is mainly work out of the house.

So once I was able to surrender,

Then I could allow space for those calm,

Rational thoughts to come in.

But had I stayed in my like anxious state,

I would have just worked myself up for nothing and I would have,

I wouldn't have even been able to see the truth of the situation.

So anyway,

The plumber was here and he was outside and a little backstory real quick.

I share a property with my neighbor.

She is in a little property behind mine and we share things like gas and water and those,

Those,

You know,

Amenities.

So apparently my landlord forgot to tell her that the plumber was coming today and that he'd be turning the water off for several hours.

So I'm doing work on my laptop at home.

I'm looking out the front window and I see my neighbor chatting with this plumber and I'm like,

Oh my goodness,

What's going on?

And I can hear their conversation and she is pissed.

She is so mad because nobody told her the water was going to be turned off today.

And so in my mind I'm thinking,

How did she draw this experience to her?

How did she create that for herself?

Number one,

Because when you're stuck in the negative,

You're going to keep attracting negative.

When you think life sucks,

That's what you're going to get.

So that's where she is clearly because that was her experience today.

So she drew that to herself.

And then the other thing I was thinking was,

You know,

We choose how we respond.

So when she hears,

Okay,

My water is shut off today.

Her choices are number one,

The one she opted for was complain,

Bitch,

Moan,

Get mad at the world,

Get mad at the person in front of her who has nothing to do with it.

Um,

You know,

Be sassy,

Be irritated,

Yada,

Yada,

Yada,

All those things.

Or number two,

She could be like,

This is an opportunity for me.

Okay,

Maybe I'm supposed to get out of the house today.

Maybe this is,

You know,

The day where I'm supposed to go do X,

Y,

And Z like I've been wanting to do,

But putting it off or,

You know,

Maybe today's the day that I take that walk or take that hike I wanted to do rather than staying inside.

You know,

Like what could I do that doesn't need water or,

You know,

Me to be in the house today?

So I just thought the experience was so interesting and I love observing life unfolding and I love observing the way that people respond to their lives unfolding,

Respond to what they've created,

And then they get upset about it.

So just a reminder,

Folks,

Friends,

That we have the power.

We really do.

Take your power back.

Don't go through your day expecting it to be shitty because it's going to be shitty for you.

So change your energy,

Change your perspective.

How can you show up differently?

How can you think different thoughts that will produce different outcomes?

We have the power.
