Hi friends! Welcome to this course on Insight Timer which focuses on mindful dating to build confidence, have fun and manifest your dream partner. If you feel like you don’t know how to date or you’re fed up with the process altogether, this course is for you. Dating can feel overwhelming, confusing, disheartening, disappointing, and often like a very unfulfilling full-time job. This course will provide guidance and support so you can approach dating in a way that feels genuine, connected, empowering, and fun. I created this course because so many of us struggle with dating when, instead, we could be reaping all the benefits! I’ll show you how dating can be a great self-exploratory journey, and how it can help us to build our confidence and to have a lot of fun! And ultimately, if you wish, manifest your dream relationship. This course will address the common pitfalls of dating in today's modern world and how to navigate them from a place of compassion, mindfulness and authenticity. This course will combine talks, guided activities, journal prompts, and guided meditations. You can use the Course Classroom to ask questions and receive answers from me, your teacher, and use it to interact with other students. I love hearing from students and providing additional support and answering questions specific to their situation. I’m so excited that you’re here and I’m truly grateful to be your guide in helping you become a mindful dating pro! Meet your Teacher

Kate is a born healer and teacher. She began providing guidance and insight to others at a very young age through the deep understanding of the human experience and the calling she felt to serve humanity. The desire to support others and her fascination with the soul's journey manifested into a lifelong pursuit of wellbeing. Her intention is to aid in the expansion of consciousness by helping others access greater healing, connect with their true self and live from an open heart.

Lesson 1

Attractions of Inspiration vs. Desperation

Today's lesson is about understanding how we can have attractions to others based on inspiration and also based on desperation. We’ll explore the difference between both types of attraction and help you in identifying where your attractions are coming from. You’ll learn how to replace any unhealthy attractions of desperation with qualities you actually find inspiring so you know what to look for as you move forward with healthy, mindful dating.

Lesson 2

The Friend Lens

Today is all about understanding how friendship is one the most important foundations to long lasting romantic love. Which is why when you first meet someone, what you really need to focus on is whether or not you could see yourself being friends with them. This isn’t about jumping right into a relationship; no more insta-relationships! If you want something real and true; a deep connection with someone that will last, we need to focus on friendship first. The friend lens is our reminder to be exploring the answer to this question as you get to know someone, “does this person have the qualities I look for in a friend?”

Lesson 3

Quit Playing Games

Today is all about understanding that the laws and games of dating need to stop. The best way to build genuine connection and fulfilling relationships is to be real! So so real. There is nothing to hide. Lay it all out on the table my friend. Trust me, it’s safe to do so and you will be rewarded when you do. The love of your life is born out of your truth and your ability to share it.

Lesson 4

Get Out of Your Mind

This lesson is all about understanding how the mind can get in the way of us understanding how we really feel. We will explore how this shows up in our dating lives and what we may experience. We’ll also explore ways to get curious about what’s happening in the mind and decide if it’s serving us or not. We will also discuss ways to get out of the mind and into the body, so we can perceive the world from beyond the mind and trust what our other senses are telling us.

Lesson 5

Communication

This lesson is all about improving our skills as communicators and understanding how and why many of us fall short in this department. Communication, among many other things, is something we are not formally taught. Even though we should be. It’s a huge part of relationships and can really hold us back if we don’t know how to do it effectively. Some of us are lucky to have been exposed to this skill but many of us are still struggling. This lesson will explore the ways we fail in communication and how we can be better.
