To begin this meditation,
Let's start by just finding a comfortable place to rest,
Either to sit or lie down without distraction.
And once you've found this place,
Let's just start to sink in.
Starting to become aware of your breath,
Starting to feel your body loosen,
Become more relaxed.
And let's just start asking the body,
What's one layer of tension I can release right now?
And knowing that by asking,
The body will respond.
It's nothing you have to do mentally here.
Just allow your body to take over.
You may feel something right away and you may not,
That's okay.
Just know what's happening.
What's one layer of tension I can release right now?
And maybe put your hand on your heart if that feels good.
Sometimes this can feel nurturing,
Soothing.
Like I'm here for you.
I am here for you.
For you self.
I am here for you.
Everything is okay.
We are just resting,
Breathing.
And I invite you to ask again,
What's another layer of tension.
I can let go of right now.
And feel your body soften once again.
Feel these waves of peace washing over you.
Knowing you are getting the rest and repair that your body needs.
Your cells are being restored.
They're being nourished.
With every breath,
You feel refreshed,
Peaceful,
At ease.
You feel your body sinking into greater and greater comfort.
Thank you body.
Thank you body for responding.
It is safe to relax.
And just breathing here.
Maybe starting to notice the rise and fall.
Maybe put a hand on your belly.
And notice every inhale the belly expands,
The chest rises,
You feel that expansion.
And with the exhales,
The contraction.
Just feeling that movement,
The expansion,
The filling up,
And the contraction,
The letting go.
Filling up,
Letting go.
So peaceful.
Just keep breathing.
Allowing this feeling of peace to wash over you.
And I invite you to bring your awareness up to the top of your head.
The crown chakra,
Whatever you'd like to call it.
And let's just start to move this feeling of peace all throughout the body.
So starting at the top of the head.
Feeling that peace,
That release,
Almost like a wave,
A wave of pure love and peace,
Serenity,
Joy.
And you can feel it moving now.
Moving down your neck.
Relaxing your neck.
Now move slowly over your shoulders.
And your chest,
Your arms and hands,
Your abdomen,
Your hips and thighs.
And it washes down your legs,
Over your knees,
Your shins,
Your feet and your toes.
So nice.
Every inch of you is radiating this peace,
This pure relaxation,
This ease of being.
Every part of you.
So at ease and still.
And you just let it wash over you.
This calm,
Soothing,
Healing energy.
Thank you.
Just allowing yourself to bask in this feeling.
And when you're ready,
I invite you to just slowly open the eyes.
That's all.
Just open the eyes.
And you're just seeing,
Just seeing what's here.
Just looking around,
Noticing how vibrant everything is,
How beautiful life is around you.
And just keeping with this feeling of stillness and peace.
