Good evening.

My name is Karen Voss.

Tonight you will be guided on a full body relaxation journey for a deep sleep.

Tonight you will experience a deep breathing meditation for sleep.

You will be taken on a stroll in an ancient city to an evening party under the stars.

This will be a relaxing guided sleep story that will ease you into sleep.

Sleep deeply tonight.

Let the calming energy of night guide you tonight.

As you get into bed,

Get yourself into a place of peace and relaxation.

Focus on your breathing.

You can start by closing your eyes.

Now take a nice deep breath in through your nose.

Breathe now out through the mouth.

Take another nice deep breath in through the nose,

And slowly let it out through the mouth.

Take one more nice big breath in through the nose,

And slowly let it out through your mouth.

As the breath leaves your mouth,

Find yourself in a completely relaxed state.

Snuggle into your sheets or blankets.

Adjust your pillow and make it just right.

Let it support all parts of your neck and head.

Get comfortable in the place that holds you now.

The day has come to an end.

As you start taking deeper breaths,

Notice that each breath out releases tension,

And with each breath in,

You invite more relaxation.

Slowing down your breath.

Welcome this time of rest right now.

You are breathing in stillness,

And breathing out anything left from the day you don't need right now.

You are getting comfortable and ready for a deep sleep tonight.

As you breathe,

You can feel the support of your bed.

Your body is becoming heavier,

More and more relaxed.

Softening and slowing down.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go.

Your body is becoming more and more relaxed.

Your muscles are feeling supported by the bed.

Tension is disappearing.

Your eyes may close now if they have not already.

When you are ready,

Visualize an open square in the center of an old city.

You could imagine Florence,

Siena,

Venice,

Or any place of your own imagination.

There are people strolling together.

Children running.

Some are enjoying an evening gelato,

And others gazing at the stars above.

There is something so relaxing about the gentle buzz of the night.

You stroll into the square and look around.

The sound of music is coming from one of the corners of the square,

Where there appears to be a winding cobblestone road,

And you move towards it.

You can feel the night energy all around you.

The lantern lights,

The stars,

Against the darkness.

You breathe in the timeless beauty,

As it echoes off the walls of this old city.

The night is warm,

And there is a nice light breeze.

There is a nice light breeze.

As you relax into the night,

You can't help but feel the energy of spontaneity that is in the air all around you.

Your curiosity moving your feet as you trek across the square towards this cobblestone street.

Yes,

You feel alive.

How often you crave this feeling.

Letting go of your worries,

Your thoughts,

Fully alive to the wonders of the moment.

The cafes,

The bars,

The people strolling,

And the children playing.

You take one last glance at the square and begin to stroll down the cobblestone street.

It feels as though the street is winding in circles.

You pass people that are gathered together.

You overhear the conversation spoken over glasses of cabernet or shots of gin.

The music pulling you.

Your excitement grows for the unknown place that is calling you.

You reach a grand old door with one of those huge knockers you see on castle doors.

On the outside,

Everything seems normal.

A usual night.

You push against the door.

It begins to move and opens.

You step forward under the archway.

Once you are inside,

You realize there is so much more happening here.

Breathing in the magic of the night.

Inside is actually also outside.

You have stepped into a stone structure.

The old walls are still standing,

But there is no roof or windows.

Just the stone frames for windows.

The floor is padded down dirt,

And the people inside are so happy.

So free.

Dancing to the music that led you here.

There are candelabras in the windowsills and something else.

There is something else that is catching your eye.

Suspended in the center above the people is a shining disco ball.

It is pouring sparkling light on everything.

The stars,

The candles,

All reflecting in the thousands of pieces that make the ball.

A mirror ball.

A spherical glitter ball that reflects light in many directions.

Hundreds or even thousands of pieces all sharing a mirrored surface.

You can feel an awakening.

You are like this mirror ball.

Thousands of shattered pieces.

A life of good and bad.

Hopeful,

Happy,

And sad moments.

All colliding into something beautiful.

So beautiful.

So perfect.

So meant to be.

Step out of the shadows and step into the light.

Open yourself to your desires.

Your wants.

Your hopes.

Your dreams.

You are so worthy.

A reflection of everything.

Past,

Present,

And future.

You begin to feel your body moving with the music.

You are gently carried away onto the dance floor.

The light reflected within you and on you.

Each step you make,

You go deeper and deeper into your dream space.

Your place of rest.

The music.

The people around you.

The night air.

Easing you into sleep.

You are so comfortable.

You feel no tension.

No struggle.

It's so easy here to be in the moment.

What a perfect place for dreams to begin.

You are safe.

You are safe to relax.

To sleep deeply.

The night is so lovely.

You have no plans or no purpose.

Just going with the flow.

The music carrying you now into a happy place.

You are dancing.

Surrounded by stone walls that are hundreds of years old.

You are covered in the sparkling light of the disco ball,

Lit by the stars and the candles.

This is one of those moments you will remember.

Life is art.

The stars shine above you against the dark blue sky.

It is timeless here.

There is no place to be.

No work left out for you.

There is you enjoying this moment.

The music.

The stories.

The stones around you could tell.

You can feel your body beginning to rest deeply.

The feeling of life around you.

You feel a lovely lull with the music and the light.

You are breathing deeper and deeper.

Sleep is coming.

You are drifting,

Drifting.

This is a place of good dreams.

Your body is glowing with the warmth of a lovely peaceful evening.

You can feel the energy of this place weaving into your dreams.

The joy,

The magic,

The beauty and the ancient presence of stories lived.

Breathing in.

Holding.

And exhaling.

You are drifting,

Drifting,

Drifting at ease and feeling a gentle heaviness as your body rests deeper into sleep.

Your dreams are free to play and roam.

You can be here or you can walk through time.

Anything is possible in your good dreams tonight.

You are safe.

You are supported.

Your arms out and free.

Dancing.

Almost floating in the magic of this beautiful place.

You are welcome here.

You are perfect as you are.

In this moment and always,

Drifting,

Drifting into a deep sleep in an ancient city of wonder.

Move now into the wonder of you and this beautiful space.

Allow yourself to relax into it.

Allow your body to sink more into the safe space you are resting in.

You can barely notice your breath now because it has slowed to only what is needed for a deep and restful sleep.

Your breathing feels as natural as it deepens.

You are in this wonderful place.

You are falling deeper and deeper into this dream.

This is the sleep you need to be the best you can be.

You sleep deeply and soundly.

Play and let go into this world that has awakened for you.

It is your world and it is wonderful.

You will be rejuvenated and energized when you arise in the morning.
