Hello and welcome to a time of meditation.
A meditation to help with releasing feelings of depression you may have within you right now.
Allow yourself to become comfortable wherever you are.
Whether you're sitting on a chair or laying down on a bed or maybe even on the ground outside.
Either way just allow your body to settle in and relax.
You can start by taking some deep breaths in and releasing your breath.
Breathing in deeply and releasing.
Knowing that in each inhale you are breathing in relaxation and on each exhale releasing tension and inviting more relaxation clarity and peace within you.
Each breath is a gift to your body.
Opening,
Expanding,
Releasing.
As you come deeper into your awareness and into your body allowing yourself this time to relax.
Allowing your mind to slip to the back.
Noticing any thoughts feelings or emotions that arise and allowing them to be.
If you find that some thoughts will not let go picture them wrapped in a bubble and then set the bubble aside.
Knowing that those thoughts they won't be forgotten.
Not let go but put aside to a place where you can return to them when you are finished here.
In this meditation time together we're going to explore how we can release some of the darkness that we might feel in our emotions.
Darkness that comes into your spirit as something we sometimes call depression.
Our emotions and our body are connected.
When you release in one place then you also give release to another.
As you breathe let your breath touch your heart and feel it soften any hardness you have wrapped around the emotions that are hurting you right now.
As you feel this right now you don't have to name the emotion.
Instead pay attention to where you feel the emotion in your body.
Breathing in,
Holding,
Warming your heart and releasing.
How can you hold these emotions when at times they're so overwhelming?
How can you bring them loving acceptance?
Imagine that you are connected to every living source and that it is filled with compassion,
Spaciousness,
And love.
You may rest your feelings of grief,
Of being alone,
And of sadness here while you journey into this experience.
As you relax with your breathing bring your attention to your feet.
Notice any dark areas,
Any gray or black spots in your feet.
Tension that is trapped in your body.
Let that darkness in your feet drain out of your body and see that stress draining away.
The darkness moves out of your feet and drains into the earth,
Dissipating and becoming valuable energy.
Tell yourself,
My feet are relaxed.
Move your attention up to your legs.
Watch all tension and stress in your legs move out from your hips,
Down through your knees,
Down through your ankles,
And through your feet and into the earth.
Release the darkness you feel in those places.
Bring your attention to your torso.
See any negativity and stress.
Begin to drain out of your torso.
Breathe and release.
Starting in your chest the darkness drains down into your abdomen,
Moving down into your pelvis,
Down through your legs,
And out of your feet and into the earth.
You are releasing all of the darkness,
All of the stress,
All of the tension from your whole torso and it drains out of you now completely.
Bring your attention to your fingers and hands.
Allow them to relax.
Feel any negative energy move through and out of them,
Passing through the tips of your fingers and out into the air.
Your hands might become lighter as all this negative energy drains away.
Now bring your energy and your attention up to your arms,
Including your shoulders,
And allow that tension and stress in your arms to drain away.
All the heavy darkness drains from your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your hands,
And out your fingertips.
Now bring your attention and all that good energy that is beginning to move through you,
Up your neck and head,
And feel the stress in those places fall away.
Moving down from the top of your head through your neck and into your shoulders,
Moving down your arms through your hands and out your fingertips,
Out,
Out into space,
Into the earth.
Step back in your mind and see your whole body.
Look at it from outside and see peace and see relaxation.
Above your head you notice there is a beautiful bright white light.
This light is full of love and good energy and it's right above your head.
See your crown opening like a flower.
Watch as this beautiful loving white light pours now into your crown.
It begins to fill you as water fills an empty cup.
The light is filling your feet,
Filling your legs,
Filling your torso,
Filling your hands,
Your arms,
Filling your neck,
And at last filling your head.
Your body becomes a shining bright golden light.
This light pours over you as water moves through a stream and it fills you.
You have a deep sense of knowing that you are protected and loved beyond measure.
You are at peace and you are safe.
Enjoy this beautiful energy,
This gift you're giving yourself.
Bring your attention now to your heart center and say the words in your mind or aloud,
Let go.
Let go.
You may repeat those words gently a few times.
Breathe.
Feel the darkness within your emotions and shifting it into the light eases your heart space.
Feel how the light is easing your heart space.
You are loved.
You are connected.
You are meant to be here right now.
As the time to return to the physical world approaches,
Know as you come back that you are completely filled with love and light.
You are always connected to a greater love and you are always protected.
You are relaxed now and at peace.
Slowly open your eyes.
Be gentle with yourself as you come back into your physical body.
Continue to breathe.
Live forward today in this light and love and come back to this meditation whenever you need to find that heart center again.
