When you're ready,
Find a comfortable spot for you to be in for the next few minutes.
Maybe you're still in bed and you can just stretch out your legs,
Your arms,
Your fingers,
Circle your wrists,
Gently circle your feet.
Get yourself comfortable.
Maybe you're sitting already in a chair or on a couch or on the floor.
You can circle your shoulders gently,
Stretch your back a little bit.
Make yourself comfortable.
If you'd like,
You can close your eyes and let's start by taking a deep,
Calming breath.
Allow yourself to settle into this moment,
Feeling the gentle support of the earth beneath you.
As you begin,
Breathe deeply.
Let your breath become a soothing rhythm in and out.
In and out.
With each inhale,
Invite a sense of peace into your body.
And then with each exhale,
See yourself releasing any tension or any worry that may still be here from yesterday or might be about what's to come today.
Release.
Now bring your attention to your heart.
Imagine a warm,
Gentle light glowing within it.
This light is your source of loving kindness,
A boundless reservoir of compassion and love.
It is unlimited.
As you breathe,
Feel this light growing warmer and brighter.
Filling your entire chest with a sense of comfort and a sense of well-being.
Yes.
Now silently repeat these phrases to yourself,
Allowing their meaning to sink deeply into your being.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be safe.
May I be at peace.
Feel the light.
Feel the loving kindness these words carry.
Let them wrap around you like a soft blanket.
Allow yourself to receive this kindness fully,
Knowing that you deserve this.
Expand this feeling of loving kindness outward.
Visualize someone you care about and send this light and these words to them.
