This meditation is created to help the listener to activate their root chakra. The Root chakra — is the chakra of stability, security, and our basic needs. Its comprised of whatever grounds you to stability in your life. This includes your basic needs such as food, water, shelter, safety, as well as your emotional needs of interconnection, and being fearless. Feel centered and confident by activating the dormant energy of the root chakra. Come from a space of self-confidence and calm.

Hi,

My name is Karen and this is a moment of ease for your root chakra to be taken whenever you feel you might need a little bit of a reset.

It's created to help you,

The listener,

To relax into an absolute unwavering belief that you have everything that you need,

That you are complete.

And from the seat of trust and acceptance,

You can confidently move forward with whatever lies ahead,

Knowing that you are enough.

So if you'd like to join me,

Take a moment and find a quiet place,

One where you won't be disturbed by any distractions around you.

If seated,

Find a position that is relaxed and upright,

One that expresses dignity and presence and the intention to be fully present in each moment.

Eyes can be open or closed.

And if you prefer your eyes to be open,

Keep a softened downward gaze.

Let's take a moment just to check in.

Acknowledge what you find to be present here,

Right now,

Whatever that is.

Notice your thoughts.

Notice emotions.

Notice any body sensations.

Explore each of these with compassion and gentle curiosity.

Explore them,

Not with the mind to change them or get rid of them,

But instead,

Simply let them be just as they are.

Expand your awareness now to notice any sensations present in the body once again.

Notice the sensations in the body as it relates to your breath.

Feel the breath expanding into your whole body,

Your whole body breathing.

Inhaling through the nose,

Drawing nourishing breath deep down to the bottom of your belly.

Begin to gently relax all the muscles.

And as you continue to breathe deeply down into the very bottom of your body,

Begin to breathe toward the tailbone,

Breathing just a little deeper now.

And as you exhale,

You can use your mouth or nose to exhale,

Whatever is most comfortable for you.

Allow your focus to shift into the breath with greater attention,

Greater focus as you breathe slowly,

Deepening the breath,

Pulling it all the way down to the base of your tailbone.

This is the seat of the root chakra,

The Mulandara Bandha.

The root chakra is the place of stability and security and our basic needs.

It's comprised of whatever grounds you to stability in your life.

This includes your basic needs such as water,

Food,

Shelter,

A sense of security and safety for your own physical being.

But it also holds emotional needs of interconnection and a confidence in self.

Perhaps you've noticed a tightness in this area.

Breathe deeply into this space and allow your breath to fill it with a warm red light.

Let this beautiful red light swirl within the pelvic bowl.

Let it gather into a swirling orb of brilliant light,

Growing more and more brilliant,

More splendid with each deep breath you take.

As you exhale,

Begin to whisper quietly to yourself,

Lum.

This is the root sound,

Lum.

Breathe in deeply.

Exhale,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Allow the sound to be savored in your mouth,

On your tongue,

Vibrating on your lips.

Breathe in,

Keep your focus inward.

Allow these gentle vibrations to expand.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Lum,

Invite any tension to be released.

Breathe in,

As you release this tension,

Your root energy center will begin to open up.

Allow your exhale to send this stagnant energy deep into the earth.

Imagine vibrant red roots reaching down,

Down into the soil of the earth,

And all the tension that was there now traveling down the roots as they lengthen into the earth.

And then to be released into the deepest part of the earth,

Its very core,

Where it will be lost forever.

You may feel a slight tingling sensation along your spine as your roots shift deeper and deeper below the surface of the earth.

Continue to breathe into that brilliant red swirling orb of light.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum.

Your chakra roots remain connected to the earth.

Breathe into the swirling splendid light force,

Your root chakra,

And allow its warmth,

Its power to spread slowly,

Sending glowing powerful energy to extend from the base of your spine outward.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum.

Fill this entire energy with its warmth and power.

Trust in the work and let the process of healing begin to unfold.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum,

Lum.

You'll begin to feel more connected to your root chakra.

And as you are more connected,

Notice the sense of security and inherent calm.

Let it wash over you,

Around you,

Through you.

As you continue to breathe,

Breathe into this sense of groundedness to this moment,

To this earth,

And to your own abundance.

Allow this connection between you and the earth to move through you.

A feeling of calm flows through you,

A sense of stability,

Of serenity.

You are abundance.

This basic sense of stability that you are cultivating right now will expand into all aspects of your being.

You are abundance.

Invite this sense of relaxation and self-confidence to fill you up as you continue forward in your day,

Into every interaction with others,

Or when in stillness,

All alone.

You are in abundance.

You are in abundance.

All your needs have been met.

Breathe in,

You are in abundance.

You are confident and relaxed.

You are interconnected with all things.

Wherever you go,

You are supported by the earth.

You are grounded.

You are loved and worthy of that love.

Take a few moments here to feel this incredibly deep connection.

As you move through the remains of your day,

Remember you have all you need.

Come always from that space of abundance.
