Hello and welcome.
This is Julie Skahn and this is a short and effective meditation practice to turn to when you want to embody a more relaxed and calm way of being and feeling in your mind and body.
I like to use this practice when my nervous system gets triggered and I can feel that flood of stress or anxiousness and I want to return to being present in the moment.
I also like to use this practice and I invite you to do the same in the morning as I wake up and before I go to sleep.
It sets the tone for the day or for rest.
However,
You are using this practice,
Just know that I am grateful you are here and let's go into meditation together.
Please softly close your eyes and take a few deep,
Audible breaths.
Listen to the sound of your inhales as you feel your chest and belly rise.
Hear your exhales as you release,
Allowing your body to sink into comfort.
I'm going to say a series of 10 words to you.
Listen closely to each.
Repeat them in your mind as a mantra.
As I say these words,
Guide them directly to your mind first.
Embody the feelings of the meaning that each word brings to you,
Allowing them to restore,
Renew,
Revitalize your mindset.
Let's take another deep breath.
Release.
Reset.
Calm.
Quiet.
Soft.
Peaceful.
Tranquil.
Harmony.
Compassion.
Love.
I'm going to say these words to you one more time.
This time,
Direct their meaning and the feelings that they bring to you directly to your body.
Embody the feeling,
The meaning that each word brings to you.
Allow them to soothe and add ease to your senses.
Release.
Reset.
Calm.
Quiet.
Soft.
Peaceful.
Tranquil.
Harmony.
Compassion.
Love.
As you start to come back into this day or this night,
Remember that you have the power within you to embody the energy and the feelings that you want to.
If you get overwhelmed,
Take a moment to breathe deeply into your body,
To connect to your core self,
And to move forward with the energy,
The you choose to embody.
