Good morning.

Welcome to this beautiful day,

A new beginning,

A clean slate,

A fresh start.

In today's meditation,

You will be awakening,

Aligning,

And healing each of your energy centers,

Your chakras,

So that you can move and flow through your day feeling mindfully grounded,

Connected,

Open,

And present.

Energy shifts naturally within each day.

We have our ups and downs,

Ebbs and flows,

And this practice,

This morning ritual,

Is naturally healing as it opens your energy,

Removes any blocks or stagnant energy,

And brings your mind and body into energetic flow.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to connect to your body and find optimal comfort.

If you are sitting in your morning meditation spot,

Sit up tall,

Softly roll your shoulders back,

And align your spine from your tailbone to the top of your head.

If you are lying down and it is comfortable for you,

Lie on your back,

Gently lift your chin to the sky,

With palms facing up,

Or place your hands on any part of your body that needs extra healing today.

Together,

Let's take a sweet,

Deep inhale,

Inviting new energy within as we go.

Sinking your breath with meditation,

Gently close your eyes as you inhale through your nose,

Exhale through your mouth.

Listen to the sounds of your inhales and exhales.

Feel your chest rise and fall,

Lengthening and deepening with each breath.

Bring your awareness and guide your breath to the base of your tailbone,

Your root.

Named Muladhara,

Meaning foundation,

This is the first chakra,

The energy point of earth energy.

It is your deep connection to your body.

As you allow your breath to open your root,

To move energy within,

Feel yourself connected to this source,

This grounding force.

Take long,

Slow,

Deep breaths,

Rooting and grounding your energy even deeper.

The affirmation of your root is I am.

In your mind,

With kindness and compassion in your thoughts and your words,

Answer this question.

Today,

Right now,

In this exact moment,

Who are you?

Complete this statement beginning with the phrase I am.

Allow the answers to surface,

Acknowledging each and then let them softly float away from your mindset.

Take a nice deep breath and shift your attention and guide your breath into your lower abdomen,

Your sacral chakra.

Named Svadhisthana,

This translates to where one is established.

This is your energy center of emotional expression,

Your feelings and creativity,

Sensuality and playfulness.

As you breathe deeply into this space,

Opening your sacral chakra,

Check in with your emotions.

Give yourself permission to feel them,

To give them space and to set them free.

The affirmation of this chakra is I feel.

So as you draw your breath and light into your lower abdomen,

Answer this question in your mind.

In this moment,

What do you feel?

Guiding your awareness,

Your breath into your upper abdomen,

Your solar plexus.

Named Manipura,

Which translates beautifully to the city of gems.

This center is your source of personal power of your inner light where you both let in and let go.

As you take deep,

Beautiful breaths,

Envision your abdomen filling with light as if you are drawing sunshine from the outside within.

The affirmation is I do.

Reflecting on your inner light for a moment,

Answer this question when you are ready.

How can you add more light to your energy today?

Guiding your awareness,

Your breath now into the center of your chest,

Your heart chakra called Anahata,

Meaning unhurt,

Unstruck.

Feel your heart opening with each breath,

Inviting your heart to speak to you.

And as it opens,

Mindfully listen to what it has to say.

The affirmation of your heart is I love.

As you listen to your heart and feel it opening for you,

Answer this question.

Today,

Right now,

In this moment,

What do you love?

Moving up from your heart,

Bring your attention into your throat chakra.

This is the center of your voice,

Authentic expression and heart center listening.

Named Vishuddha.

This means pure.

Your throat chakra is the midpoint between your mind and your heart.

This is where your communication flows from.

Allow your inhales to open this center gently.

Your exhales to release any blocks or sensations.

The affirmation is I speak.

Set the tone of this energy center for you today by answering this question.

Today,

How will you use your voice?

Guide your breath,

Your attention into your third eye.

The center of your forehead,

Your powerful source of intuition.

Imagine each breath opening this chakra.

Called asana.

It translates to command to perceive.

The affirmation is I see.

As you tap into your intuition,

Releasing this energy,

Ask yourself,

Today,

How will you allow your intuition to guide you?

For the final and seventh chakra.

Taking a sweet inhale,

Bring a light into your body and allow it to land upon your crown.

At the very top of your head,

Even hovering above it.

This chakra is named sahasrara,

Meaning connection.

This is your center of wisdom,

Compassion,

Understanding.

It's a greater knowing.

The affirmation of your crown is I understand.

To open this chakra,

Allow yourself to surrender.

To trust.

To feel connected to all parts of you and to the amazing world around you.

As you take a few more deep breaths,

Simply repeat the words in your mind,

I understand.

Your energy is now aligned.

It's awakened from your root to your crown.

This morning meditation ritual closes with choosing a word for the day.

Choose a word that is your guide,

Your compass,

Your meaning,

Your purpose,

Just for today.

In your mind or say out loud any word that calls to you.

Present,

Focused,

Calm,

Courageous,

Adventurous,

Love.

Choose your word.

And as you go through your day,

Recall your word and align your energy with its meaning to you.

Let's start to come back into this present moment.

Gently awakening the senses.

Point or flex your feet or tap lightly on the ground beneath you.

Squeeze and release your leg muscles.

Gently arch your back.

Roll your shoulders.

Give yourself a good stretch.

And before you go about your day,

Fill yourself with a brief moment of gratitude.

Saying thank you to your mind,

Your body,

Your heart.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Energy awakened and aligned.

And I hope you have a day filled with happiness,

With energy,

With special moments and many sweet surprises.

Thank you for meditating with me today.

And if you would like to share with me your word for the day or your experience with this meditation,

Please feel invited to comment and I will respond.

Also,

One last note.

Ritualizing this practice,

Returning to it every morning,

Even before you get out of bed,

Will maintain the flow of energy through your chakras.

As I mentioned,

We have ups and downs,

Peaks and valleys,

Ebbs and flows.

Our energy is always moving.

So checking in with yourself in the morning,

Opening each center will allow you to flow more naturally,

More lit up,

More open through your day.

Thank you.
