Welcome to this guided meditation for clearing the energy you tend to pick up from other people or places or stories as a sensitive or empathetic person.
We care about others and we want to pay attention to how they feel.
But sometimes we get stuck feeling something that belongs to someone else at the expense of our own energy.
Let's come back to ourselves releasing and repairing our energetic skin barrier so that we can feel restored and come back to ourselves.
Take a moment to get comfortable.
You can do this one in any position,
Including as you're falling asleep at night,
Though I usually like to do it sitting upright.
You may wish to close your eyes.
You could fidget a bit or even stretch letting your body settle into this moment.
Try taking a few deep breaths and just notice what that feels like.
You might feel anxious,
Stressed,
Sad,
Angry or any number of other things.
Some of this may be yours.
Some of it may not be.
You do not need to know right now,
Which is which.
Now when you're ready,
Imagine a very bright light above your head at your crown.
It could be white or golden,
A very clear,
Pure color,
Perhaps like sunlight.
This light connects to the energy of everything,
The highest vibration of that which connects us all.
Whether you call that God or goddess or spirit or the universe.
Allow this gentle,
Pure light to pour down the top of your head and all throughout your body like a shower or a waterfall.
Trust that this light knows which energies are yours and which are not.
Whatever is sitting in your physical or energetic body that is not yours,
This light simply dissolves or maybe sends them back to where they came from.
This light lovingly and gently returns any excess energy,
Anything that's not here in alignment with your highest good,
Back to source.
You do not need to keep any of it.
It's not your responsibility.
As you feel this light doing its work cascading throughout your body,
I invite you to speak out loud or in your head the magic spell or incantation that goes like this.
Not mine,
Not mine,
Not mine.
Allow this light energy to move all the way down through your body,
Down your legs,
Down your arms,
Down your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Down your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Down your shoulders.
Allow this light energy to move all the way down through your body,
Down your legs,
Through the soles of your feet.
The earth is also that which connects to everything and knows how to take this energy and compost it to turn it into something else.
There's no need for you to hold on to anything.
And you can trust that whatever it is that you might need to keep with you will stay.
As this pure,
Clean light continues to do its work in your body,
Imagine a glow from your feet that circles up and around to meet again at the crown of your head.
You could see it like a shield or a bubble.
This is your energetic skin that keeps out whatever isn't in alignment with your highest good and allows in energies that are loving,
Helpful,
Healing,
Kind,
And whatever else aligns with your highest good right now.
Imagine this beautiful shield or bubble all around you,
Protecting your energy,
Repairing and soothing the places where this energetic skin has felt broken or ragged.
Allow yourself to be protected,
To be held safe in this energetic space.
This is the space that has always been yours.
Take a little time just to be here,
To feel what it's like to be in this space where you are held,
Connected,
Protected.
If you like,
You could experiment a little bit with thickening your shield,
Making it really strong and sure,
Protecting you from all the energies around you.
And then maybe you could soften it a little bit,
Allow it to become a bit more porous,
Opening to energies that you do want to come in.
And just noticing that you can choose,
You have this control.
Your shield can be strong and thick,
Or it can be a little more subtle,
Depending on what you need in the moment.
In a few moments,
We will move our awareness out of the meditation and back into the material world.
But as we do,
We do not leave the shield behind.
It stays with us.
And when we need it,
All we need to do is remember it,
Imagine it with our minds.

In your own time,
You can allow your thoughts to return to your body in your seat or whatever you're resting on.
Come back to your breath and the feeling of the room around you.
And eventually you can blink your eyes open and return to your world cleansed,
Clear,
Safe,
