Hello my friends.
I'm glad you're here.
If you found this meditation,
Chances are you've been carrying something.
Maybe it's a situation you can't resolve.
A person you can't reach.
A future you can't predict.
Or just the constant exhausting weight of trying to hold everything together.
We are going to let go.
Find a comfortable position.
Sitting or lying down.
Whatever allows your body to fully relax.
Let your eyes close gently.
Take one deep breath in through your nose.
And let it out slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in.
And release.
One more time.
Full breath in.
And let it go.
Notice the weight of your body wherever it's resting.
You are supported.
You are held.
Nothing is required of you in this moment,
Except to be right here.
Let's begin by noticing where you're holding tension in your body.
This is often where control lives,
In the places we grip,
Without realizing.
Bring your awareness to your jaw.
Is it clenched?
See if you can soften it.
Let your teeth part slightly.
Let your tongue fall away from the roof of your mouth.
Move up to your forehead.
The space between your eyebrows.
So often,
This is where our worry concentrates.
Smooth it gently.
Let it go slack.
Now your shoulders.
Take a breath in.
And as you exhale,
Let them drop.
Notice your hands.
Are your fingers curled?
Open your palms slowly,
Facing upward.
This is the physical gesture of receiving.
Of releasing the grip.
In your belly,
The body often holds anxiety here.
So give it permission to be soft.
You don't have to brace.
You don't have to protect.
With every exhale,
You are physically practicing surrender.
Letting the body teach the mind what release feels like.
Now,
I want you to imagine you're standing at the edge of a wide,
Slow-moving river.
The water is clear.
You can see the smooth stones along the bottom.
The current is calm but steady.
It moves with purpose,
Without force.
In your hands,
You're holding something.
It might look like a stone,
A piece of paper,
Or even a ball of light.
It represents the thing you've been trying to control.
The outcome you keep turning over.
The situation you keep trying to fix or force or manage.
Feel its weight in your hands.
You've been carrying this for a while.
Acknowledge that.
It makes sense that you wanted to hold on.
Wanting control is just wanting safety.
It's not wrong.
It's human.
But look at the river.
It doesn't strain.
It doesn't fight its banks.
It simply moves.
Trusting that it knows the way.
Trusting that the path will open.
When you're ready,
Walk to the edge of the water.
Let yourself crouch down.
And gently place whatever you are holding into the current.
Watch it for just a moment.
Watch the water receive it,
Carry it,
Move it along.
It doesn't disappear into chaos.
It's simply no longer yours to carry.
Take a breath.
You haven't lost anything.
You've just released the weight of trying to force what isn't yours to force.
The river knows what to do with it.
And so does life.
Stay with that feeling as I offer you a few words.
You don't need to repeat them aloud.
Just let them land.
I release what I cannot control.
I trust the process,
Even when I can't see the outcome.
My worth is not determined by what I can manage or fix.
I am allowed to rest in uncertainty.
Letting go is not giving up.
It's choosing peace.
I am safe even when things are unresolved.
Let these settle into you.
Not as things you have to believe fully today.
But think of them as seeds,
Or as possibilities.
Begin to bring your awareness gently back to your body.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
When you're ready,
Take one final deep breath in.
And release it completely.
Let your eyes open slowly.
You can return here anytime you feel the grip tightening.
Anytime the need to control becomes louder than the quiet beneath it.
You don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to hold it all together.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply to open your hands.
Thank you friends for practicing with me.
I'm Julia,
And I wish you all calm and comfort in your day.
